I ordered a cold poached salmon platter for a recent party. The salmon was perfectly prepared and delicious and the platter was beautifully decorated. Fantastic!

Wow. I’m shocked I’d never heard of this spot. A 30 minute drive. Wait was minimal, we called ahead and got our name on the list so once we arrived we waited 15 minutes. Food was fantastic. Too much food but oh so good. I had steamers and a bowl with lobster tails, mussels and clams. My husband had Calamari and a bowl with shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels. Excellent and we will back!!!!!

John C. From Westchester We visited Gilligans clam bar as a family For first time, It's in Pomona NY, plenty of parking, Place is a throwback to 70's, as I've read in other reviews the staff not the most Pleasant, they sit you and two seconds later they ask "you know what you want" That being said it's a place that you can go to with a big crowd and enjoy cold drinks and enjoy your company, The food well it's not great not horrible It's ok, prices I guess are consistent with what's going on now all around, But plenty of food and fast service

The service was great. Daniel was A very attentive waiter was on top of refilling our drinks and get us what we needed. The food is another thing. Some of the orders came out cold and when the manager came over he did not handle the situation well. The place was very loud as well. I will visit again hopefully the food will be out.

Lobsters are not what they used to be. Got two with hardly any meat in the claw. Lots of muscles and clams with it though

Unfortunately, this place gets no stars. The serive was terrible by Armando and the manager Danny. They served me a calzone with uncooked shrimp and then didn't want to take the meal off the bill. I don't think I've ever been in a place that made this type of mistake that didn't want to restore the relationship with thr customer by at least being apologetic and removing the item from the bill. They have definitely lost a customer.

We have been going to this restaurant for years. We have noticed the equality of their food has gone done. The other night we were dinning there , we ordered Lobster for one and took a long time for food to get served and they were not that busy. The lobster was ice cold. We had told the server and he asked if we e=wanted the lobster to get heated up. Who heats up lobster?. I also had issue with fried code which I told the server the piece is not the same as other times and the crispiness was totally off. He took my plate to owner and brought the plate back and said is fine try it out. Instead of offering something else. During this time my husband complain about lobster being cold and the owner said, he will let the cook know. There were many lobster coming out of the kitchen, how would s=chef know which one? In the past if we had any issues with lobster, they would take it back and will bring you a new. one. I thought a good businessman does not act like it is what it is, eat ti. We ill try to avid this place for the future.

We came here to celebrate my mother's birthday and had such a wonderful experience. They do not accept reservations, but allow for a courtesy call 30 minutes before you dine. We came on a Monday evening to avoid the weekend crowd (when we hear waits can be long), and the place was still very lively and busy. The servers and staff were attentive, work fast, and are friendly. The food was delicious, so fresh and tasty(we ordered the lobster feast), accompanied with a pitcher of sangria. The portions are big and very reasonably priced. You can expect to take leftovers home, everyone walks out with a bright yellow doggie bag. We look forward to coming back. The decor is nautical themed, the ambience is chill. I highly recommend Gillian's for a good time and good seafood!

If you want fresh seafood at an affordable price, get to Gilligan's. Theres always a wait on the weekends so get there early of you don't want to wait. My favorite dish is the Lobster for One which is a 1 1/4 lb lobster with clams and mussels in a delicious garlicky broth. The amount of food you get for around $25 is unbelievable. My husband and I always order the clams on the half shell or oyster which are always fresh and tasty and again SO affordable. They also have many items that are not seafood like steak, burgers, chicken etc. I heard their pizza is really good too but I love seafood so I always go there for that. The decor is a little cheesy but fun! Oh if you do have to wait to get a table definitely try their passion fruit mojito! Yum!

We had poor customer service. We called 30 minutes ahead to reserve a table of six to celebrate my birthday. They won't accept a reservation before 30 minutes. When we reached there we informed them we had a reservation. The girl in the front desk asked me if all six of us are there. We told them two are on their way here. There were lots of open seats. Instead of giving us a seat until the rest of the party join us, she had the audacity to tell us to wait in the bench in a very rude attitude. We waited until the rest joined us and walked out of this place just due to her attitude. We were going to Gilligans before COVID and never faced with such behavior. It was my birthday and we thought of celebrating it there. Thanks to her, we found a new sea food restaurant RED CRAB in the palisades mall where we all had a nice time. Everything happens for a reason. If you don't train your new staff, then you are going to loose customers to other places due to few of your staffs attitude, just like this.

Fun place and great service! The drinks are strong and delicious. Recommend: The snapper was perfectly cooked. The shrimp was great in appetizer and entrees. The steak was excellent. The fried calamari appetizer is definitely a repeat. Would not get again: the salmon was somewhat dry as you would expect a frozen salmon to taste. The scallops were overcooked.
