One of my favorite places to stop. The Atmosphere is awesome in the summer the outdoor seating area can't be best. Dog friendly outside. They make one of the best burgers if not the best burgers in the area. Burger is huge. Fries are always crispy. They're lighting fast at getting the food prepped. Great for a out stop on a drive home. If you're looking to sit at a outdoor table on a nice day in the summer go earlier as it is a huge motorcycle stop. They start rolling in 30 minutes before they open. Wait staff is always friendly and accommodating

This was our first visit to The Outpost. We sat outside so we could enjoy the live music. The food and service were excellent. We started with garlic parm and bbq wings and they were crispy and delicious. My husband had the steak quesadilla and I had the Jam burger and then we ended with the some funnel fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful place, peaceful, awesome service, really good place for drinks in the bar or table, with friends or even alone. Fire pit area, good food. Plenty of parking.

The Outpost has a really nice environment — clean, comfortable, and with very kind staff who make you feel welcome. It seems like a newer spot, and they may still be finding their footing. While the service and atmosphere were great, the food left a bit to be desired. The macaroni and cheese tasted like it might have been from a box, the quesadillas were a little too basic for the price, and the salad portion was on the smaller side.
That said, the potential is definitely there. With some adjustments to the menu, this could be a great place to return to.

The place is new and very lovely. We enjoy our dinner after kayaking. Burgers were were good.
We were looking for a rafting spot that would drive us up river and let us end in pond eddy so we could grab lunch at the outpost and this was the perfect solution! I had no idea the outpost had their own setup for rafting. It was very convenient to park at pond eddy and get a ride to Barryville then raft down at our own pace. The process was very easy and they allowed us to raft with just two people which is great. Highly recommend them for rafting and for lunch/dinner as you cannot go wrong at the outpost’s restaurant

I worked at a camp nearby and would come to The Outpost during my evenings off — it quickly became my go-to spot. The ribs from the truck are absolutely incredible, honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. The vibe is super relaxed and welcoming, and it was the perfect place to unwind after a long day. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by — you won’t be disappointed!
