This was our first time at this restaurant since it became a Latin restaurant. We thought the food was amazing. The owner was so welcoming and told the staff not to charge us for our appetizer. We thought that was such a nice gesture. We will definitely be returning soon.
My daughter and I were in town for a concert, and we had dinner beforehand. My only criticism was that the outside signage was missing, so we didn't know the address was correct until we called to confirm our GPS was working! Overall, it was a really good meal. We shared the mussels appetizer which was incredible, huge mussels in a delicious broth. We also shared the Caesar salad and red snapper main course, both had large portions and were absolutely delicious. If we come to the area again, we will definitely return!
Empanadas are a must. Plenty of delicious food on the plate (take home for another meal) Great steak, chorizo, seafood, plantain, guacamole, etc. Next time, I will try the whole Red Snapper. Looked tasty. Soothing music and not a crowded place. Quite enjoyable.
The food is very mediocre. The service was fine but they ignored our dietary restrictions. The only thing we asked was no pork. In the vegetarian soup there were 2 chunks of pork fat. They said they had made a mistake after we had started the soup. It was very disturbing. The quality of food is very poor. Large quantities but no taste.
This has been our go to for a great meal and friendly service. What happened? The ventilation system was terrible, the service was uninterested in us, the food was not served together, the chips for the tuna app was soggy, the music was loud, the chicken paillard was burned and cold, the sole was over cooked. I feel awful writing this but maybe they will take notice and turn this around. If not maybe a half empty restaurant on a sat evening is the indication. It pains me to write this review.
I was disappointed because I had heard/read good things. So maybe it was an off night--Thursday. The mussels were pretty good. The escargots en croute not at all. There is one definite positive--the FOUR course prix fixe menu is $45. I doubt one can find anything like that elsewhere.
They were flat out and keeping up but it was hectic. Food was good but unfortunately the fondue had curdled into liquid and chunks so it didn't coat when we dipped. That aside, I'll definitely go back.
Staff and service was INCREDIBLE! We were notified that a few of the dishes we ordered had run out in the kitchen (it was a busy day + Mother's Day), and the staff took every effort to make up for it. Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Parking is a bit limited, but not a disincentive to go in the slightest - we were pleasantly surprised by the degree to which we enjoyed the experience, and will be coming back!
We love the food and the service is ok in this tiny place but, for a Friday evening, the place was empty except for one other table and a table outside. We hope that Appetit Bistro can survive since the food is always good.
Amazing hidden gem in strip mall in Port Chester. My French boyfriend and I now consider this our regular go-to bistro with delicious food, and the ambiance of a small z New York City neighborhood restaurant. The appetizers are terrific and the desserts delectable! When a true Frenchman loves a bistro.. you know it is good!

We love the food and the staff is always pleasant.... Until you're there past 1 1/2 hours on a Saturday night.... Then they ask you to leave. We've had that happen twice. They didn't even want us to have a second cup of coffee. Made the evening unpleasant
The place looked like nothing from the outside. Once you walk in your perception completely changes. This is literally a whole in the wall. Food was really good. We had the grilled calamari and mushroom ravioli as appetizer. For the main fish we got the scallops. Everything was excellent. Service was really good. Overall it was a wonderful surprise
The food was absolutely delicious. The service could have been better. Our waiter forgot my wine and my daughters sprite. Others who arrived after us were served drinks and food before us. Lastly, I was billed for the most expensive wine on the list and it was not what I ordered. The food great. The service needs to be sharper.
Love the food here. For takeout this is incredible value. Chicken scarp and steak frites in particular. But dining-in is not advised. The staff has changed, it is super slow, and not customer focused.
Nice dinner. Food was delicious. The staff was very busy due to restaurant week but that actually was nice with more time in between courses. Space is small and a bit cramped. Overall very nice experience.
