Few restaurants are consistently better on every visit, Capers is one. We went with another couple for dinner. Wine was Ken Wright Pinot Noir-excellent. Appetizers were Squid and Tricolore Salad. Salad was very good, didn't try the Squid, but it smelled incredible. Entrees were Chicken Martini, Mussels, Short Ribs and Yellowfin tuna.- all very good. Service is great.
This restaurant has it all a beautiful view of the river and was treated to a cute cluster of ducks entertaining us. to start with the service was fabulous Angie our waitress was exceptional and knowledgeable. The appetizers of tuna tartar and the steak tacos were excellent. for dinner i had the chicken scarpiello which was done differently and quite good with a nice kick Kathy had the grilled shrimp Also very good. They also give you humus as a starter which is excellent. The bartender made a great cosmo for Kathy
Looking for a new restaurant to add to our "rotation" we tried Capers after seeing great reviews. Happy to say - we picked a winner. Potato goat cheese dumplings to start were unique and tasty. We loved the hummus served with our bread as well. I had the Branzino for dinner and my husband had the Short Rib Pappardelle. We were both happily surprised with the size of the portions and raved about the flavors in both dishes. I enjoyed my red sangria - a perfect accompaniment. Dessert was the one low point of the meal - perhaps just a wrong choice on our parts - the bread pudding was just ok. We'll likely try something else next time. Service was attentive without being intrusive. We will be returning for sure.
