OpenTable made reservations for 2 and when we showed up the place was out of business HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE!!
We love Capers so much, but when we got there, all lights were out! We called and phone seemed disconnected. There was power everywhere else so we have no idea. We truly hope it is not closed.
Booked a table on Open Table. When my party arrived at the appointed time, the restaurant was closed. What gives?
Capers was closed! We don't know if it was closed just on the day that we got a reservation via OpenTable or if it has shut down. Either way, the experience was extremely disappointing. OpenTable needs to be more aware of the open or closed status of restaurants when they offer their reservation service.
The experience was very nice. The food was excellent. I had chicken martini, while my wife had spaghetti with shrimp fra diavlo. Both were expertly prepared. We shared a tri-color salad, which was good but because we shared it, you would say its on the smaller side. No dessert. Wait staff was attentive. It was a Tuesday night and not very busy so we were well cared for. All-in-all, it was very pleasant.
Always a good food experience. The steamed clams with garlic and chorizo stand out as well as the special of seafood over linquine with wine and light tomatoe sauce. The drinks were good, execpet that when one orders a martini, it is expected that the glass shold be amply filled. Tonight, it seemed as if i got a half drink. The waiter-bartender shrugged when i inquired. i would have gladly paid an "up' Charge for the extra half ounce of liquor.
We enjoyed our meal at Capers. Eduardo, our waiter, was outstanding. The atmosphere is okay and the food was good. The mushroom ravioli was great. It's a nice restaurant.
Was not expecting it to be as good as it was, but was absolutely blown away. The goat cheese dumpling app was phenomenal. The chicken scarpareillo made me want to kiss the chef. So lemony, so spicy, absolutely perfect. One of the best meals I’ve had since moving to the east coast. Will be back for sure.

The food is beyond amazing, and it's gorgeous to see the river from the restaurant. As a vegetarian, they have plenty of options. My suggestion is that they turn down the music a little, but you can request this.

The staff at Capers seem to almost be family in the way they serve you! My wife now has a favorite cocktail because of them. The meatball appetizer is tasty and the watermelon salad is refreshing! I had a roast chicken dinner that my wife will definately have next time based on the sample I gave to her, and it's just the quintessential spot to eat at. Will be back for sure!
One of the stores I go to several times a year.
All dishes are fresh and carefully prepared. I like it. The cocktails are delicious and I'm glad they have dark beer.

I will definitely never return to this restaurant. The average age diner was 60+. The food was inconsistent, some dishes were mediocre, others just bad. Half eaten plates of food and no one wants to take the rest home should give the staff an idea that the food is just not that good. But the prices were up there with Westchester's best restaurants. And the worst part of all, the ambiance or lack thereof. The place is small and old and has zero going for it looks wise. Drinks were also weak and watered down. Staff was super nice though.
Innovative American/Mediterranean-style food. generous portions of each dish prepared to order. Lots of seafood on the menu and as specials. Especially good is the chicken scarparello, not done in chunks but half a chicken and seasoned just right, specifically if you ask them to leave out the hot peppers which our waiter forgot. No problem, they made a new dish. Took a few extra minutes, but worth it. The trout is done just right, as well as the chicken paillard, which is much better than the famous one at a nearby restaurant's signature dish. Looking forward to our next visit and see what is new!
Perfection! Delicious mediterranean food, great cocktails and fun glassed-in dining area looking over a waterway. highly recommend it. i had a great Caesar salad and tuna tartar with potato chips. Hubby had Garlic shrimp and Swordfish. Delicious.
