I've been going to StandBy for many years, back when Steve was the owner, his prices were very reasonable, and the place was always clean. I moved out of state recently and came back to visit. I was surprised to be greeted by Kevin the new owner (not very friendly). It felt like I was walking into the back of a gas station deli. It used to be spotless, not anymore!! I was overcharged for my meal, $17 dollars for a sandwich?? You gotta be kidding me! Very disappointed to say the least! I'll tell ya what... I miss Steve's chili, because it does not taste the same! Don't waste your time.

Won't comment on our one and only visit about 3 months ago; would like to say, use the reviews since YOU took over, not the old Dougie's reviews. Also, I do not give you permission to use pictures taken by me when it was Dougie's

One person behind the register will say it's fine to use a card over ten dollars. The other person will actually harass you about it until you leave the store.

Charged me 17.50 for a steak egg and cheese on whole wheat wrap and a 20 oz soda. Place is a total rip off and dirty. I saw a cockroach climbing up a wall there while I was waiting for my coffee. Needless to say I wouldn’t step foot in that dump again.

Was a lifetime customer of Dougies and tried it out for the first time since owners switched this weekend. To say it was a disappointment is an understatement. Ordered 4 breakfast sandwiches all with chili (obviously) and chili was forgotten on every sandwich. And the sandwich was just not as good as it used to be. Called to let them know that the order was wrong and that we were charged $2 per sandwich for the chili that none of us got, and was just met with “sorry about that” and the phone hung up. Sad to say we won’t be coming back as this used to be our favorite. Anyone have any other recommendations for good breakfast sandwiches in the area?

It used to be amazing food; for a few weeks now, it's different, not as tasty as it used to be

Dougie's, is what it is. It's functionally a relic from another time. I LOVE IT though. The food is good, reliable, and exactly what you expect. The people who work there, are kind, accommodating, and straight forward. It's a reliable spot for me to get a burger or a BEC and sit outside. It reliably delivers on both and certainly has endeared me to them. I recommend it.
