First impressions always set the tone of a location—this restaurant has a great vibe and lots of good food, including the Pork Belly Ceviche, Tu Te Atreves appetizers, + delicious drinks— Dulcadito De Coco and guayabito were genuinely excellent. My fish entree was especially impressionable. It was a vast size, cooked to perfection, and paired with tostones. I would love to return to this establishment. Don't let someone's pessimistic review deter you from coming here. Some people aren’t happy unless consuming a glutinous amount of food. I have always dreamed of returning here, but with good company and enjoying the place.

(Translated by Google) The food is not bad but the attention needs to be improved a lot, the food takes too long and they have no coordination for the orders!!!(Original)La comida no es mala pero las atenciones necesitan mejorarla muucho, la comida tarda deeeeeeemaciado y no tienen coordinación para las ordenes!!!

First impressions always set the tone of a location. Too many elderly drunk patrons in the front of the location just drinking and being loud. Unpleasant to new customers and much less couples. Service was good, unfortunately very hard to hear the waitress since the music is blasting thru the speakers. Ordered Pork Belly Ceviche and Tu Te Atreves App. Pork belly took quite some time. Tu te atreves was awesome and truly tasty. Pork belly ceviche was the tu te atreves chopped up. Ordered Lomadito and Pescado del Día for entrees. Lomadito was too salty and tasted like Soy Sauce. Rice on both plates was atrocious and subpar for a Latin restaurant. Fish was decent size. Tostones had a nice waffle imprint which was different. Dulcadito de Coco was awesome. Guayabito was horrible. All in all this place needs to focus on its food service and taste. Supposedly co-owned by a renowned chef. Not sure he’s stepped foot in the place !!!

This review is for their take out service.I was ecstatic to see a Dominican-inspired place in Port Chester. I love my Latin food but needed something more Caribbean up here.First off, the take-out area hardly looks like it’s a part of the restaurant lounge because of the lack of decor. The set-up between the restaurant and that area is so disjointed. It looked like white cafeteria with harsh lighting, and it looked like they we’re still working on it.The ladies behind the counter were pleasant and helpful. As for the food… it could’ve been so much better. We took home fried fish, pernil (roast pork shoulder/butt), locrio de cerdo (rice with pork and vegetables), spaghetti, and an empanada (we asked for chicken, but they gave us cheese). The fried fish was the star of the show, and it didn’t even have much going on. It was fresh and nicely seasoned. I was hesitant about getting the pernil because it looked very dry, but my bf said we should try it. Once cut up, it wasn’t as dry, but it wasn’t juicy and it lacked flavor. The rice dish and the spaghetti were okay. All in all, I finished my plate and said to myself “damn, I should have just cooked dinner today.”I might go back to try their lounge, but if that takeout was any indication of what is to be expected when dining in, I might need a lot of convincing.
