Today is (July 28) the celebration of Peru's Independence from Spain. I called every single Peruvian restaurant in Port Chester (and there's one on every corner it seems) in search of these delicious sweet potato and squash donuts. I finally came upon El Festejo. Clearer a traditional, mom and pop restaurant BUT! that's what gems are made of. Our PICARONES we're fresh to order - very crispy on the outside and so soft and spongy on the inside. The CHANCACA honey was amazing - you can taste the fig leaves...I mean this was as traditional as it gets. So freaking good! THANK YOU FESTEJO!

The truth is that I always go to eat there, the food is very good and so is the service, except for one waitress, a tall girl, who is really more concerned with talking and laughing at the bar than with serving, I asked her. For sauce and bread, something that should be the first thing you put on the table and didn't and I never got it, I was having a good time with the customers at the bar. The other girls are very worried about serving, but she really ruins the restaurant's service. I hope that when I return someone else will serve me, it is unpleasant to have to remind them of things all the time, if you look below, there are similar reviews, you might think it is the same person, I think they have a problem there, terrible service!! !!

What a total disappointment. Despite recommendations praising the owner, Angela as a true American dream—a Peruvian women who used to work the corners, saving enough money to overcame challenges to own her own restaurant—I decided to try it for Peruvian cuisine and because I am a true believer of second chances. We ordered ceviche, papa a la huancayna, lomo saltado, and grilled chicken. However, the ceviche tasted like a salty garlic soup with partially frozen fish, and the huancayna had a flavor reminiscent of rotten cheese. Lomo saltado was overly salty, with an inexplicable addition of “soy sauce”. The chicken appeared undercooked, with a pinkish-red hue throughout. Surprised the health department hasn't shut them down. For those seeking a great Peruvian family restaurant with a clean environment, this is certainly not the place to spend your money.

One of the ladies who serves should be more attentive to the attention, because I was waiting for a long time and if I didn't raise my hand, she wouldn't serve me and what's more, she didn't even serve me and even though she recognized me, she sent the other waitress, while she He continued chatting pleasantly with some gentlemen who were drinking liquor, apparently the conversation was very interesting but that can be done without neglecting a client who has just arrived to consume...

The male fish lacked seasoning
The sautéed noodles with seafood are tasty, the salad is served without dressing, the portion size is good, the prices are good, there is no variety of drinks, they should offer a greater variety of contours.
Very bad service from the waitresses
