Panka Peruvian Bistro

I was overcharged 19 bucks, I only noticed it when I was home. Make sure to always check the receipt to make sure everything is correct. I didn’t not appreciate it at all.

Mid experience all around at this Peruvian spot near the Capitol Theater in Port Chester. The Mixed Appetizer (Causitas, Anticuhos, Papa Rellenas, Empanadas) was large and more than enough for 2. However, Empanadas tasted old or cooked in old frying oil. Papa Rellenas were the only decent item on the plate. Lomo Saltado, my go-to comfort dish at Peruvian joints - was rather tasteless. Not enough soy sauce or Maggi to give it that savory flavor you want to mix into the rice. Red Sangria was really not good - had a weird aftertaste.

Try the cebiches and tiradito, although the tiradito could have been cut thinner.
The lomo saltado was good but lacked the real peruvian taste.
The pisco sours were also good.
Overall, it is a very nice and inviting place for peruvian food. Much better than any other peruvian restaurants in the area.

OMG.. Delicious.. best decision I made was to go eat there.. Great service.

The food was absolutely delicious, the shrimp were perfectly cooked, the sauce was flavorful, and everything was beautifully presented. I also really appreciated the service from the busboy-food runner he was super attentive, especially with keeping the water full. It’s the little details that make the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Panka offers great service, staff are friendly and professional, yesterday we celebrated my daughter’s birthday, Lorena and another young lady were great, there were 13 of us, the appetizers and food all were delicious. I highly recommend Panka Restaurant, this is the go to place when you want to enjoy good Peruvian food.

Panka offers a wide variety of Peruvian food. I enjoyed the lunch special they offered in which I got a flavorful chicken soup, lomo saltado, a fresh salad, and a drink (I chose Inca Cola of course!). This lunch special left me pleasantly surprised as it had a low-affordable price, but left me feeling completely full by the time I was finished. It’s really a great option if you’re looking for delicious food at a great value.

This restaurant gets a FULL 10 out of 10, was here last night May 2, 2025 to celebrate my mom’s 86th Birthday dinner!! The STAFF SERVICE FOOD ATMOSPHERE was OVER & BEYOND!!! They made sure we was SERVED RIGHT & then they surprised my mom with cake & Music singing for her!!! She was in HAPPY TEARS!!! I highly recommend THIS PLACE to ANYONE!! We will BE COMING BACK HERE AGAIN!!

Wow! The food here is excellent. I recommend the Ceviche Tradicionale and Lomo Saltado. Definitely coming back here! Great flavor, fresh ingredients.

Grilled octopus appetizer was fantastic, I think they have the best lunch special I’ve seen from a Peruvian restaurant. White sangria was spot on, will definitely be coming a lot more.

Not going to lie. I was going to write a bad review because i ordered the lunch special and they gave me a full meal. O paid $22 and i was pissed. It was my first time here.

Then i opened the box of lomo saltado. And it smelled amazing! Put the green saucev on. (Only got 1 packet in sure if i asked for more they would have given it to me) mixed it in and was on my way. The lomo saltado didn't need the green sauce or was amazing by itsb self but with the green sauce it was even better. The food was great and cooked to order. I would def go back there again to get the lomo saltado and try other dishes.

Food is always on point and flavorful, it never disappoints me. Jose, Kenya and Lorena always greet us with a smile on their face. They are very kind and caring with their customers always! I would recommend this place to everybody with my eyes closed!!
