We used to make fun of this place when I was a kid 50 years ago. Back then it was called Texas Lunch. It was a hole in the wall greasy spoon place but people came from all over to eat there. It's not pretty, it's not healthy, you wouldn't want to have your wedding or funeral reception there but if your looking for some old fashioned chili and cheap food you should check it out. Ordered my usual burgers, hot dogs and fries Texas style and the food was delicious! Chilli has just the right amount of spicy kick! I make the trip from CT for their chilli and I always get a container of chilli too!
The original chefs left from Hubba Hubba to open their own place and the spot is open until 5 a.m. too! But way cleaner and less sketchy. I always get their chicken cutlet sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, provolone cheese and chilli. Their chilli is SO spicy and is so special to me because it reminds me of my childhood.
