And it came to pass that it was noon and we were hungry and the nearest diner was Seaport. We hadn’t been here in a long time & truth was it wasn’t our favorite. So we decided to see if they had cleaned up their act…
Wifey ordered her usual Lox and…, while I got my standard eggs over light with sausage and home fries.
The coffee came out in large white mugs and was good & hot. That’s a plus.
Now, unfortunately we had recently been to the Gold Standard of diners:
the Premier Diner on Commack Rd, just north of 495. Everything is Aces there.
So the food came out. Wifey was pretty OK with her Lox.. My eggs were excellent, but the sausage not well-done enough for my taste. Rye toast was great, but home fries- too much onion and not crispy enough, but OK.

Price was reasonable. Service was perfunctory but hurried.

When you order a pastrami with mustard on rye, the pastrami shouldn’t be crunchy and there should be mustard on the sandwich. Also, there should be cheese on a cheeseburger. Finally, when you call… you should get an apology, not an argument.

Hubby had a Philly cheese steak and fries. It was huge. I had the Manhattan clam chowder and it was so delish with pieces of clams in every bite! Greek salad with grilled chicken so plentiful I saved 1/2 for lunch tomorrow. For desert I had cheesecake with strawberries and hubby had chocolate lava cake al la mode Yum! Our waitress and the staff friendly and attentive as always. My favorite diner!

Food was OK. 2 salads one Greek and one regular and dressing in the side 2 small sueflay cups for large salads. Service she did not really seem interested.

Absolutely the best diner around. From the Greek salad (with the most delicious homemade Greek salad dressing you will ever have) to there out of this world specials that include an appetizer and dessert. I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal here. All the staff is extremely friendly though I must admit Sara is my absolute favorite. A regular weekly spot for me and my family of 5 and I could not recommend it more to anyone looking for a delicious meal.
