I have not been to Wunderbar in many years and it's still awesome. I had a Reuben sandwich. Made with Pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, thousand Island dressing on toasted rye bread. The meat to cheese to sauerkraut to dressing was an absolutely perfect amount. Give them a try. Your gonna love it.
Stopped in for sandwiches on Mother's Day. Store closing at 5pm and we got in around 3:30pm. Staff did not appear very happy to have to make 4 sandwiches before closing time. One was more friendly than the other. The food was good, especially if bacon is your thing. Fully loaded! Would return back and make sure we're well before closing time on a non-holiday.
Stopped there late this afternoon just before closing but we had not realized how late it was (4:48 and they close at 5 pm on Saturdays). I worked at a deli as a teenager and when I saw the time, I apologized for the late offer and offered to leave. He insisted on waiting on us and even packed a soup for my MIL. A gracious gentleman and the sandwiches (as always from Wonderbar) were great. We now live in SC and this great deli reminded us of what we are missing down south.Kudos...
