We ate at the restaurant and found the service to be adequate at best! The food specials were awful! We had the German potato pancakes ( if you want to call them that) and a German entree:neither was good and were substandard! They need to change their oil : fried food was dark!
We stopped here for dinner while trying to find a nice dinner spot after being on the road for hours on our way home from a trip. This place was a great find and we would like to go back sometime. It was very busy but the staff were all friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the portions were quite generous. Decor is neat with lots of history. Highly recommend checking this place out if in the area!

Moved on to a filet and the short rib special. Both of them were tender, juicy, and flavorful. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We'll love to return here in the future!
