If they did anything no one would see probably because this town’s police doesn’t even do anything but that’s a whole other story. You see these sketchy guys standing outside but don’t investigate on why. They can hang out anywhere else but they stand on the street, drunk, just so they could try and get someone that’s walking past them. Didn’t know where else to post this. I’m sure the actual deli is fine, so this is not a complaint about the place itself. However, these guys seem to be coming from it and standing outside it constantly

Ever since got back from the South last weekend, I have been craving for Mexican tamales. I have been searching on LI for truck food tamales. I even asked Andie, whom I consider as my Yelp Goddess for down-to-earth great food and I loyally follow. This place came up in my comfortable radar. Moreover, Evan C . Whom I feel always has honestest reviews, also wrote a review on it. I decided to give a "vaccine" for my growing craving here today. I am so happy on my instinct decision. I walked in the shop and there were about 5 ppl scattered inside already. My eyes were lit up seeing hot food bar right in front. There were no menu so I walked up to the cashier asking how I could order. The owner lady was very patient and nice explained to me even when she was busy. I felt embarrassed because I knew nothing about Mexican/Latin good nor spoke Spanish. I ordered two chicken tamales simple and easy because I did not want to take too much time of hers. I could not believe the tamale only $1.75/each! The owner lady even unwrapped them for my convenience. Thank you! Honestly, the chicken tamales were alright, somewhat savory and fresh! But too little chicken meat! Also the meat was too lean! Some fat and veggies or other ingredients would be much tastier, like those I had in Southern California!

The pernil is wonderful. The beans are just OK. BUT, every time we are in Port Washington, we take home a large container of the pernil. We would be very sad if this place closed. Definitely support this little gem.

I've been here a few time but have only tried their made to order pupusas...which I love!! This is basically the only place in the area where you can get them and I think they are delicious. They also have a lot of hot and ready to serve food that looks really good.

Customer service has improved a lot. They have new kind employees serving the food. They have a variety of food where to choose from.

The food can be good, the only and pretty big downside is that it seems as though the new management makes up prices on the spot! I was charged 5 dollars for milk when I only paid 3 dollars a few months ago. There were also instances where I would ask how much, and they would say 3 dollars.. no i mean 6 dollars, when it clearly isn't worth 6 dollars. So just keep an eye out when paying!
