Stopped at this corner restaurant for lunch prior to attending an afternoon show at the Bardavon. We were seated immediately and soon realized why this restaurant is so popular. Service by our waitress Michelle was excellent. The food was delicious and the portions more than ample. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. It was our first time but we will definitely be back.

This was just my experience today. All places can have a bad day but be great restaurants overall. Food was contaminated. I took food back and spoke to owner who was very kind and apologetic. I just asked that they speak with kitchen staff so it does not happen again. Again was just MY experience only.

This place really rocked it. Very busy yet courteous, professional and quick service. My server Cindy was very busy yet?Paid attention to all my ordering requests didn't miss a beat with my table or the others around her which I was surprised about for how busy they were. The homemade corn beef hash was all it's written up to be. A reasonably priced dish for all the food that I ordered.

Service was genuinely warm and attentive. A place that gets the basics right and makes it feel easy to stay. I’d come back.

While there was a small wait for a table and food took a little longer than normal, I would say that the staff kept us updated the whole time and the food was with the wait.
We will be coming back to try more things in the menu!

We were taken to a table right away by Tatiana and another lady. We ordered deluxe Burgers with an extra Patty. My husband had his with no bread, I had mine with bread. We were brought tea and extra hot water by Tatiana. It was her birthday today, she was extremely funny, and attentive with us. Our food came out and was perfect, just as we ordered it. Medium to rare. The fries were spectacular too! Like English Black Country Battered fries. Delicious, and such a happy busy friendly place. Happy Birthday to Tatiana, you were top server for us!

While visiting Poughkeepsie, I loved Alex’s Restaurant. Breakfasts are hearty, filling, and genuinely delicious. Inside feels like a 1930s movie set—pressed-tin ceiling, cozy leather chairs—and the music fits the vibe perfectly. Only downside: they’re not open on weekends.

I ask for a side of bananas and strawberries for my pancakes and French toast they literally gave me the whole banana amd strawberries... couldn't chopped them off ? I pay for it it wasnt free !! Do they do the same to everyone ?
