I went to Aloy's Italian Restaurant as a last resort on Christmas Eve. My mother was here from Florida and my son was going to meet us there. It's a little off the beaten path but well worth it. The wait staff was so friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was decorated so cheerfully for Christmas. The food was so good and authentic Italian cuisine. It being Christmas Eve, we ordered the fish dishes. The food is cooked fresh,.,,not frozen and reheated. We absolutely LOVED this restaurant and the people who work there. We couldn't finish it all, so "doggie bags" were requested and they obliged. Everything we ordered was cooked and served to perfection even on a busy holiday night. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I definitely will be returning for more. The prices are comparable with other Italian restaurants in the area. I can only say Aloy's Restaurant is tops with me!

Doesn't look like much when you first stumble across this place but man you couldn't be more wrong. This place has an old school homey Italian feel to it. It's a hole in the wall authentic Italian place. The wallpaper and entire atmosphere makes me feel like I'm eating a family meal in my grandmothers dining room. The food is wonderful and very reasonably priced. I've been here twice now and it's definitely a place I will frequent whenever I'm in the area craving Italian food specifically when I'm with family.

Hi,i'am the Grooms Dad and made reservations for a rehearsal brunch on Saturday October 28th 2023.Well let me say that the food was good although they were very cheap on the portions of food and the soda and coffee .We paid for 40 people but 31 came,if they all showed up there would not be enough of food. When i asked the (man) one of the servers if more food will come out he stated that that is it,if people are hungry we will put out a few peace's at a time, what the hell! i paid for 40 people. He was a very snotty and rude employee and it was very disappointing of his actions, supposed to be a family restaurant but that did not happen , paid a lot of money for below average service and very little food.I will not go back @all

Homey Italian restaurant. Family owned for decades. We arrived 30 minutes before closing, and were greeted warmly and seated right away. Others continued to come in right up to the top of the hour closing time, and were seated. Good to know when you are traveling and passing through. Our drink and food orders were placed quickly. The salad that came with our pasta dishes was delicious and generous. My Pasta Carbonera was absolutely delicious. His Linguine Bolognese was just as good! Generous portions meant we took some home with us. Our only complaint was our iced tea was pretty weak. He had an espresso to complete our meal. If we ever find ourselves back in Poughkeepsie, we'll be stopping by Aloy's!

We were a party of 3 and one take out order. The stuffed mushrooms were excellent. Two of us had the broiled sole, it was very tender and tasty. There was plenty of butter on the fish. The garden salads were 100% fresh, no wilted lettuce seen. Jenn is very pleasant and well liked as evidenced by some of the "usuals". The spaghetti and meatballs were ok. The meatballs were only lukewarm, the sauce was very dark. Appearances that the order "sat" for awhile. No free refills for beverages. Soda/Lemonade.

My family believes Alloys to be a Poughkeepsie staple Italian restaurant. The flavors of each meal bring you the sense of Grandma's Sunday cooking. It's delicious, and every bite will make you happier than the last. The atmosphere is romantic and cozy, and perfect for dates, family gatherings and/or single dining. The staff are lovely, and very courteous and helpful. The drinks taste great too whether it's a cocktail, beer, coffee, tea, or regular drink you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend you stop in and enjoy an incredible meal. The desserts are especially divine!Parking: Large open lot

My family and I hosted a baby shower here recently. Jennifer and the crew were very attentive and on top of everything. We had a buffet and the food was delicious!! Everyone left happy!

Chef very slow to get our food to us, but wait staff was nice and tried to be helpful. The drink menu was being printed and the servers didn't know that much about what drinks they had. The food was decent, nothing to write home about, but a good Italian meal.

Hidden gem right by the walkway. Food was good and reasonably priced. I ordered a lasagna - flavor was spot on just needed more sauce. Service was a little slow, however, there was only one server. would try it again.
