The food is amazing, the service is quick, however, the waitress needs to improve when relating to the customers. Her socials skills are very poor.

The Beech Tree is and has been a staple of Poughkeepsie for ages. Great daily menu, and always fantastic specials. The owner is a fun and friendly guy. They make excellent drinks and always have something new on tap.

Ordered a special, place was empty. Ten minutes later was informed the main item wasn't available (smoked salmon) and they could substitute grilled salmon.ok but was then asked how I wished it cooked, I was stunned for a second as I sure they did not carry sushi quality fish! I replied fully cooked, she asked again "medium rare? Iscoffed and said again fully cooked! I finally had to say medium, it came out just undercooked, but the outside was charred so I considered it safe. Taste was ok. Then watched the cook cracking eggs on a non kitchen counter, dump in bowl and throw the shells into a receptacle behind and to his right...trailing egg whites over everything in between. No head covering and sprouting a beard, no apron or gloves! A second cook arrived and stared working on the same location without a hand washing station in sight. Shall not go back

This place doesn't deserve any stars at all. Aaron Foglietta hired me in the month of June to work as an assistant to the chef who works at this establishment on weekends. We suggested I come in on a Sunday (June 23, 2019 to be exact) to see if things would mutually work out. I gave up six hours of my Sunday to work and this coward never contacted me to pay for the hours worked. Today's date is Friday, August 30, 2019 and still no pay yet. I had tried contacting him but to no avail. While I worked there for the day, I had noticed the kitchen is FILTHY and disgusting. Anything hanging over the counters (i.e. cords, wires, etc.) are covered in dust and dirt, which can easily fall into someone's plate of food before getting served. I have no idea what it looks like behind the bar since I didn't have the chance to even take a peek back there. This place is disgusting and the health department should really make a surprise visit into this restaurant. It was a blessing in disguise I didn't receive a call back from Aaron. I now work in a fantastic restaurant in Lagrange for a wonderful family and I couldn't possibly ask for anything better. I just feel whoever may be possibly interested in working here at all, should hear about my first and last experience with Aaron Foglietta and BeechTree Bar & Grill.

Met a friend I hadn't seen since high school, along with her husband and 2 boys on Wednesday. Enjoyed the food. The waitress was attentive. Restroom was clean. Since bar is in the same room, it was a bit loud and sometimes difficult to hear our conversations. Overall, it was very good. Would return and would recommend to others.
