The Beech Tree is and has been a staple of Poughkeepsie for ages. Great daily menu, and always fantastic specials. The owner is a fun and friendly guy. They make excellent drinks and always have something new on tap.
Met a friend I hadn't seen since high school, along with her husband and 2 boys on Wednesday. Enjoyed the food. The waitress was attentive. Restroom was clean. Since bar is in the same room, it was a bit loud and sometimes difficult to hear our conversations. Overall, it was very good. Would return and would recommend to others.
Food was good. Service was not bad. The menu leaves out some ingredients which makes some dishes more than what you expected. Like having too much pepper. Overall it is a good experience. Need to ask for the wifi password.
