Got the 3 meat combo with double brisket, one pulled pork, double max and fries. This was easily enough food for 2-3 people.Pulled pork, mac and fries were good. Brisket was tasteless and had no seasoning. Moist but a third of every piece had a thick slab of hard fat. Definitely would NOT suggest the brisket but if you do make sure to request extra house sauce (bbq with horseradish?).
I had lunch with two friends and our food was ranged from adequate but not special to barely edible. My first friend had the plain burger on the menu. The burger came out as ordered; but seemed like a diner frozen patty rather than something fresh that you would expect from a barbecue restaurant. It was probably the best of the three sandwiches. The fries were fine, not bad but nothing special. Possibly frozen. My second friend had the pulled chicken sandwich. The sauce was flavorful but the chicken didn't appear to be, "pulled" chicken, but rather cubes of chicken breast cooked in a pan with sauce poured on top. It was edible but didn't really live up to description or expectations. His mac 'n cheese side was the best side. It was plated nicely, with a toasted top and bread crumbs in a a little ramekin.I ordered the brisket sandwich and it was barely edible. The brisket was sliced and each slice seemingly fried on a pan or griddle being browned on the flat sides and quite oily. It was very dry and tough. I asked the waitress if they had fried the brisket, and she said they smoked all of their meats before 'warming' them up on the grill. It didn't have grill lines on it. Again fries with it, they were good but probably frozen. The coleslaw that came with each was good but unexciting. Typical mayo based like in a diner. It was fresh though.I had one 40CL or 13.5 ounce Stella Artois. It was $7.50 which seemed a little pricey.I wouldn't go back unless I heard that they really overhauled how they prepare their meats. I would think a barbecue restaurant would pride itself on expertly cooked and flavorful meat, which wasn't present on any of our three sandwiches, especially not my leather oiled brisket.
The food is outstanding. The quantity they give you is enough for like 2 people. Talk about Family style BBQ. Try the Nachos, they were GREAT, and the BOOM BOOM Shrimp an A+. The service was a bit slow at times, and the draft beers tasted a bit funny, (maybe some stall beer) but the food was a PURE A+. If you want some dam good BBQ food, go there.
Waitress was very nice and did her job perfectly. However, the brisket we ordered was dry, outdated, and gave both of us stomach ache that evening, followed by running stomach and vomiting. It will be hard to go back.
This place was absolutely fantastic. The server was on point with the customer service. The price per portion on everything was surprisingly cheap. The portions were huge. And everything my group tried was delicious. I had the piggy mac (mac and cheese over pulled pork) and I'm tempted to get it again the next time I go, even though I really want to try the brisket.I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you're in the area and want some kicking good BBQ, stop in! And definitely do the $6 round for the kitchen staff - they've more than earned it!
This is my go-to BBQ place in Dutchess County. They cook it low and they cook it slow. I enjoy the beef brisket with jalapeños and Mac and cheese for a side. The mac n cheese combo bowls are really good too! One of these trips I need to order the nachos. The table next to us tried it and it was titanic! Enjoy your BBQ with your choice of BBQ sauces (I like Billy Bob's sauce) and a fresh, crisp draft beer. I've never been disappointed. Check this place out.
Not great at all. Maybe it was bad piece of meat. There are better BBQ in the Hudson Valley to go to.
Omg there bbq is soooo good my job had them cater our job luncheon it was very good to me
Two out of three Orders were wrong. This establishment used to have fresh cut French fries now they don't . Burgers were good.
Since the renovations it feels Ike a typical white mom bar. Lame. It used to be cool. Food is still good minus the super stale bread for the pulled pork sandwich and recently the brisket is hit or miss. Sometimes it's tender and flavorful, other times it's dry and needs to be doused in sauce. Love the food but for the price, I want to know it will be good every time not every other time.
Restaurantji Recommends
They have the absolute best pulled pork around!! I love the staff because they are so attentive and really nice! I highly recommend this place for just about any occasion. You can dress casual and comfortable, you can eat in piece because they make sure you have everything you need and they leave you alone to enjoy your food, not hoover over you asking of you want a drink every 5 minutes. You will love the pulled pork and they Mac n cheese is to die for!!!!
Go here if you want the best bbq in the area! Love this place!
Food was amazing, best collard greens I've ever had. Friend got Mac and cheese it looked really good
Some of the worst brisket I’ve ever had, flavorless and not tender at all. Ribs were okay but I was not a fan of their bbq sauce. Sausage was the best thing we tried. I feel like this place was way over hyped.
I have tried to order online from Billy Bob's two different times. Both were cancelled for no reason after an hour wait. Remove yourself from GrubHub if you cannot complete your orders.
