This is the best Italian take out that I have had in the entire Hudson Valley. I have had a loyal favorite in the lower Hudson Valley and I used to drive to get it, but now that I have tried Capperi I will always have a place that I can count on in Poughkeepsie.

Excellent food! We had an app and 2 pasta dishes and were so impressed! The food is great, but the place is quite small for dine in but if you can get a seat, it's a great experience. Hidden gem!

My daughter and I happened upon this place and had our socks knocked off. Everything about this place was exceptional. We had the stracciatella soup and have never had a better one. The garden salad was ample and incredibly fresh. I had the chicken francais while my daughter had the puttanesca and, though stuffed, we couldn’t stop eating it. EXCEPTIONALLY. We took a tiramisu to go which was absolutely outstanding. Our server was friendly and extremely attentive. I am a food lover and my expectations were far exceeded. Run, don’t walk to this one!!

The food was way better than any other italian restaurant in new york and the moment we came in we were greated and sat down it was amazing
I almost never leave a negative review because I know that most establishnents are trying their best and everyone has bad days. However, this is an exception. My partner and I ordered delivery, we split arancini, an eggplant parm hero and what was supposed to be penne vodka. The only reason I'm not leaving 1 star is because the arancini appetizer was good. Both the eggplant and the sandwich itself were soggy. What was really a bummer was the vodka sauce----they sent us penne with marinara instead of vodka. Wrong color, wrong taste, definitely not vodka sauce. We were excited to try somewhere new, but cannot recommend their food.

Got take out from Capperi's last night—delicious! Calamari was light with a perfectly spiced marinara and the chicken francese flavorful, tender, and just saucy enough. Definitely worth a try.

The only thing we didn't like was the Romano cheese on the chicken franchise Other wise very good 👍 and who would have thought putting bacon in pasta and bean soup yum it was good and a first for me.
