The food was really good and so affordable! You can get a plate from the buffet for around $7. I ordered sautéed broccoli w/ white rice and got a buffet plate of lo mein, egg roll, butter potatoes, and fried rice! The flavors were there and the food was hot!

I've been getting take - out meals from China Express for years now and highly recommend it to everyone in Poughkeepsie! The food is always delicious, you can compare it to any of the other more expensive Chinese restaurants and it only costs $1.25 per scoop for the items in the front buffet counter.LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND BRINGING A DATE HERE! (HA HA HA) However, there's nothing wrong with the food as take out. They also have a regular menu that I've never ordered from because I'm always in the mood for the "scoops" food. Here's an idea about the dishes they have up front for $1.25/scoop:Pepper ChickenBeef w/MushroomsBourbon ChickenBeef w/BroccoliGen Tso's/Sesame ChickenFried (YES, FRIED!) ChickenTeriyaki SticksButter PotatoesLo MeinFried RiceEgg rollsEVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS!The reason I'm writing all this is because every time I'm in there, I don't understand why there's not more customers! Please don't pass up the chance to have great food at a great price!!!!ENJOY!Wheelchair accessibility: Easily get in and out!

This place is a PK staple. Only place in town you can walk in with $2 and leave full. Plus, the food is great. If you’re not feeling the hot plate, they also have a cook to order menu.

It's heartening to see a business still offer solid food at affordable prices with today's inflation. A filling meal for about 6-7 dollars a person.

Food is great!I just wish they did their own delivery.I refuse to use any third party delivery services because those companies raise the prices so the final cost is 40% more than you would otherwise pay.I will order more often if they had their own delivery service!

This was my first visit and it definitely won't be my last! The food was so fresh and so delicious! I had forgotten to order my usual pork fried rice until after I had paid, so I went and ordered some and they made it fresh...omg it was so good! Thanks so much for the great experience!

I’ve live in PK 2 years now. The man who owns this place is one of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen. In the face of COVID and rising food cost this man continues to provide a consistent product for an extremely modest price point. An honest review from an honest person. This guy deserves every bit of business he gets. Go here when you’re hungry. And tip well, even though he will insist you not tip him. As a chef, I honor this establishment for the owners complete and utter dedication to the provisions he gives to his community.

Got food from this place so many times. Great food for the price. Probably the cheapest place in town. The guy who runs the place is amazing, hardworking guy. Never had a bad experience there.

Located on middle main street next to federal court across street. Homeless people hanging around outside of business and people smoking weed within 50 feet of business. Lucky to find parking spot during day and its not free. Food is good and very affordable price just not really a Chinese restaurantParking: Hard to find a decent space when court and social security are open. Better have quarters for machine meters maids love to write tickets

Update - November 2022: Inflation has reached our beloved China Express and each scoop is now $1.35 ?. Still a bargain compared to most other takeout ? locations.--Original Review (January 2020)$1.00/scoop for hot Chinese food? Yes! $2.16 for a lunch size portion of Bourbon Chicken & Fresh Steamed Broccoli. Same quality food you get in the Mall food court for less than half the price.Parking: Street Parking

Meals are super affordable and come with a big portion. The bourbon chicken was great!

DisgustingThis food had no taste. My ‘veggie lo mein’ was chewy and had 4 pieces of mushy broccoli. Honey chicken was chewy and inedible. Bourbon chicken was disgusting. Chewy and overcooked. No taste. By far the WORST Chinese we’ve ever had.

Findlay employees. FOOD IS OK. Prices are better than OK. All I need.
