Have been to Farmers and Chefs a few times. One time there was a nice, live band. The views off the deck are always beautiful.
The food is good. I was most impressed by the burgundy escargot appetizer. Last time I went I chose the hot honey chicken sandwich. It was decent.
I look forward to keeping Farmers and Chefs on my list of restaurants to patronize in the Poughkeepsie area.

I first experienced this restaurant when I was in Poughkeepsie for work and was so impressed- the salad that they had for a special that evening, the salmon off the entrée menu, the dessert - all delicious. I went back for a second time that same week because it was so good and again, they knocked it out of the park. This time I had the Ragu and the crème brûlée. The third time I went I actually drove out from NYC (because I think it is now my official favorite restaurant) and I took my daughter- awe got the Brussel sprout salad which I literally almost died over. It was outstanding!!! We ordered wings for her, got a delicious steak, which was perfect , and the rigatoni carbonara which was absolutely delicious and then again with the dessert. Just crushing it - in addition to the food being fabulous, the service is great. I’ve had three different servers. They’ve all been super sweet, on top of it and responsive - when our table wasn’t ready, they had us sit in the lounge to wait with a drink which was super comfortable. It’s a beautiful restaurant. The food is fantastic. The service is great. For context, I’ve spent a lot of time in restaurants - worked in them, love going out to eat. I live in New York City. I go out to the Hamptons all the time. I am now driving to Poughkeepsie for special dinners because this place is so great. I highly highly recommend.

I went on 10/22/2024 to the location on Albany Street in Poughkeepsie N.Y. Today is my mom Birthday we had a party of seven. When we arrived we were told they don't have big table for our size party. They managed to add a table. The food was a 1.5 Everyone fries were over cooked the chicken was dry not a bit of Honey was tasted on the sandwiches. Tap water warm little to barely no ice. It took over 30 minutes to receive our meals no bread sticks salad nothing offered while we waited. It was a HORRIBLE DINNER. We asked if they have any Bday specials were told No. Do you sing Happy Birthday No. Mind you we were told by the person that recommended the place said they do sing Happy Birthday. I'm starting to feel it was a racial situation. Yet we still left tips. The Family had to go find Food upon leaving. The server was great it was her second day. I wish her well

Soo, I order lions manes mushroom tacos from their food truck location in Fishkill Farms. I was surprised when I got my food and not a single lions mane to be found. Instead, I found this unidentified mushroom with a stipe and gills. Not cool to be flase advertising like this. This is as if I ordered pork tacos and got chicken. Do better

Love Farmers and Chefs. They always have great specials. The service is always great. Will continue to dine here and recommend it. Oh, and they are dog friendly! Big bonus!
Our daughter had her wedding luncheon at Farmers and Chefs on September 27th Food was fantastic, beautiful menu choices. Everyone raved about their food. Staff are professional and friendly and so helpful. Huge thanks to Traci for making the whole experience so easy for our daughter and her husband

We had a really great dinner right in our neighborhood. The food is always so fresh and great. The chicken melts in your mouth with incredible mashed potatoes and gravy. I had the duck special, and it was cooked so perfectly. We enjoyed the mushroom appetizer and our dessert drinks ? The service was perfect, very friendly, and knowledgeable of all the food specials
