Everything was amazing, but extremely overpriced for the amount of food you got. Staff was lovely, manager/owner seemed very mean. Would return on an occasion!

Great dinner. Only complaint is that we ordered a charcuterie tray and the staff could not tell us what was on it. Otherwise fabulous!

This might be my favorite place in Poughkeepsie. They have an innovative menu that is clearly the product of someone passionate about food. They were super accommodating to us when we came in, and just for the heck of it I ordered the burger and it's the best burger I've ever had in Poughkeepsie. They grow their own mushrooms and have a lot of beautiful mushroom dishes if that's your thing. They also have a really nice bar selection.

Yum! We had an outstanding meal! My friend and I shared mushrooms (grown on-site) with burrata, salad with goat cheese, and nuts for starters. We also shared bacon-wrapped scallops, which were perfectly cooked and duck breast with mashed sweet potatoes and green beans for our main course. Dessert was a strawberry shortcake with vanilla gelato and fresh whipped cream for me, and Jill had banana stuffed crepe with raspberries and raspberry syrupThe service was excellent! I forgot to take pictures of the first 2 courses .Wheelchair accessibility: Easy ramp and spacious space inside to maneuver.

I took my family out for a Valentines Day dinner. We enjoyed every bite. The waitress spoke softly, making it hard to hear. I am happy we went.

We tried this restaurant based on reviews. We were on our way home from an event in Hyde Park and wanted an early-ish dinner. This was a great choice! Everything looked tasty, so it was hard to choose. They grow their own mushrooms -- a bonus for me since I enjoy mushrooms immensely. I got the Lion's Mane mushroom sandwich...so good! And huge. I also ordered one of my favorite dishes: roasted Brussels sprouts with pancetta. This was one of the best I've had. Our server was cheerful, skilled, and helpful, but she was stretched with several large tables. Not her fault. The ambience is casual with a bit of farmhouse. The sound level is bright, but not overwhelming. I would go back without hesitation!Parking: The parking was not difficult, but I wondered if a bigger crowd would find it more challenging. There were two small lots and street parking. The area was very much a neighborhood rather than a retail area.

Had brunch. Outstanding meal. Our courses were Shepard's Pie, Root Vegetables with poached eggs, Lobster eggs benedict, and SHAKSHOUKA. Great server, great holiday themed atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Worst experience at a restaurant ever in my life. I came to Farmers and Chefs for my birthday with my family and we were harassed by our waitress to the point that I was in sobbing tears. She was offended that my father did not like his steak that was made incorrectly by the kitchen and yelled at us throughout the evening. We tried speaking with a manager but she still came and continued to harass us and no staff came to help or even apologize, as if this was normal behavior. Really the most bizarre and upsetting experience. The only reason we did not leave during the meal was because the food took forever to come out and by the time they remade my dad's food the other party members were done eating. Horrible.

City quality restaurant in the Hudson Valley! If you are traveling to Poughkeepsie, this is the place to go. I came here with a party of 5 and everything we ordered was outstanding, the restaurant was lovely with a view of the walking bridge, and the service was top notch. For wine, we ordered a bottle of the Côtes du Rhône - HIGHLY recommend. For food, we ordered a combination of the dinner menu, restaurant week menu, and specials menu:Starters:- Fried green tomatoes with burrata - Burrata crostini- Escargot Burgundy- Mussels Dijonnaise (I personally loved these and sopped up the sauce using the fries)- Side of parmesan truffle friesEntrees:- I ordered the Pan Roasted Duck Breast. It was fresh and perfectly cooked.- My friends ordered the Lion's Mane Sandwich, Duck Confit Ragu, Chicken Saltimbocca, and the Goat Cheese & Mushroom Ravioli. Everyone absolutely loved their meal. For dessert, I had an affogato, which was perfect.Next time I'm in Poughkeepsie, I will definitely be back!

$18 for ONE Grey Goose and soda! $20 for one Grey Goose dirty martini! I can get the same drink in Manhattan for cheaper. The $45 NY strip had an extremely tough tendon to get through. I’ve never been to a place where they put peppercorns on oysters. They were going bad, so that’s probably the reason for the peppercorns. To top things off, they charge a percentage more for non cash buyers without telling the customer beforehand. On a good note, the mashed potatoes were good. Your money will go further at other local spots with better food.
