Giacomo's Pizza Spackenkill

Tired from driving, asked our hotel Abt a pizza place. Giacomo's was suggested because it was locally owned. Friendly and helpful. We ordered a sampling of their pizzas... All were wonderful. Loved the crunchy but not too thin crust.

Kid-friendliness: A little guy about 3-4 from a neighboring table went right to work on their play area. A nice variety for many ages... A bead slide toy, a puzzle, a little computer game, a small sturdy table and chairs.

I've been coming here for years, the pizza is fine but I'm done spending money here. Came in on a weekday. 4 workers there, and it was not busy at all. I ordered a pie, was told it would be 10 minutes. I said I'd wait for it with my young son, which I did. After 20 minutes or so of sitting right near these guys I asked about it, they said it wasn't done. After 10 more minutes I asked again. The guy said, can I help you? He'd just taken my order, and I sat right near these guys for a half hour. I said we've been waiting a half hour for the pizza I ordered from you, and I've been right here the whole time. He said, oh, and disappeared into the kitchen. Someone else came out and asked if I needed help. I again said I was waiting for a pizza. He said hang on. Returned with the cold pizza that had been done for awhile. These dudes just could not be bothered to tell me it was finished. They were too busy just hanging out and chatting behind the counter. Perhaps they were high. Never again.

The pizza at this place is awesome! We had their signature pizzas/recommendations. Meatlovers is not your typical (with lots of meat), but it was better, especially all of the combinations, and the taste is authentic. Keep up the good work, guys! ?

This is the pizza that I was told wasn't burnt. Only having 15min to eat lunch, I tried to eat it. The pizza was hard and inedible. I called and was assured the pizza wasn't burnt. Go to the one next to Marshall's instead.

Been to the other Poughkeepsie Giacomo's locations so many times, but first time here today! I don't usually have the veggie pesto & chicken bacon special slices at the other places, so I'm glad I stopped by. Also, I wouldn't have guessed from the building's exterior that there are so many seats inside.

We ordered a 3 topping meat pizza, wings in Parmesan garlic, and mozzarella medallions. Pizza was good, although a little greasy (unless you like that). Wings were alright, I wouldn't order them again. And the mozzarella medallions were tasty. Overall, it was a good meal and we'd eat here again.
