Ordered pizza tonight for the family. I get a call from a number and I answer and I say hello several times to where I hear nothing back. I get a call again and the delivery driver is on the other end yelling that he’s at my door knocking. I apologize in person and grab the pizza and tell him thank you and he just looks me up and down and leaves. Not to mention I was told it would be here late but came very early. Pizza was fine.

In speaking with the owner, he refunded the overcharges and apologized. He is short staffed and training new employees. For the past 12 years I’ve spend at least $100 every time I order take out from this location of Giacomo's Pizza, across from Marist College, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. On May 20, 2021, Thursday night at 8:20 p.m. I called in an order. Took the girl 4 times to put my credit card number in!! Usually they wait till I get there to run my card. I was told it would be ready in 25 mins. Got there in 25 mins and called as planned. Guy tells me they are closed. I told him I ordered and paid my money so I want my order. He fought with me and I asked for the girl Debbie?, the girl I ordered with on the phone and she said it wasn’t ready yet and she’d being it out to my car. I waited another 20 mins, not great but I understood. No big deal. Girl came out with three boxes and placed them in my car; curbside, contactless, and I gave her a $3.00 tip! When I got home I opened the boxes and only one pizza was correct. I did not get what I paid for with the other pie. I ordered two large pies, Create-Your-Own, with three (3) toppings. I paid close to $25 each for pie. The second pie was a small pie with hardly any topping on it and for sure no sundried tomatoes or mushrooms, just a few artichokes. No sauce and it was terrible. Please See pictures attached. I'm extremely upset as due to covid and being handicapped I don’t go out often so this time I ordered two of the same pies and got only one correct sand paid for the two special pies!!! I was ripped off. Also, I ordered six veggie pinwheels and they did not give me the dipping sauce that usually comes with them. I did ask to for them to add mushrooms to the 6 pinwheels but they wanted to charge me $6.00 so I cancelled the mushrooms. I want my money back or I want the pizza pie I ordered and paid for. Did this place change owners? The previous owner (Kevin?) would never let this happen. If I don’t get any recourse I will destroy this place on social media and the doors will be closing just like all the other eateries that probably didn’t rip their customers off to have their businesses close up. If this place will continue to operate like this, then they do not deserve to stay open. I want my $25 back!!!!

I ordered pasta and it tasted like canned food, horrible, I also ordered a pin wheel and the outside was good but the inside was ice cold, bad experience and I don't recommend it

Inconsistent, go on a Friday or Saturday way higher quality than a Thursday night.

I recently used Giacomo's Pizza to cater a work party. Everyone was really happy with the pizza. The chicken, bacon, ranch pizza was really good. We also have cheese pizza, green pepper and onion, White pizza. It was delicious and I would go back there again.

Absolutely HORRIBLE. Ordered through Giacomos web which brings you to slice. Received an update at 535 food was on the way and should arrive by 550. 605 no food called restaurant who just said they were behind on delivery also spoke with slice who reiterated restaurant was busy....ok then is it or is it not out for delivery? After numerous calls my food arrived COLD at 635 1 hour after it LEFT the restaurant. Neither slice nor Giacomos would do anything regarding cold unedible food. Per the delivery driver she had 4 other deliveries. Never again, it was a huge or with a good tip. No one wants cold old food.

The food was mediocre at best. Just like any other mainstream pizza place. Clean place, friendly enough staff. Don't pay attention to the help wanted sign in either location. They aren't really hiring.

Been going here for slices for 4 years now. I will never go back. I ordered two slices of cheese pizza and a Diet Pepsi to go. When I returned to my office and opened the box and tada the two smallest slice of pizza I have ever seen in my 58 years. They looked like they were cut from a personal pie. They both were 5" long and about 3" wide. The salt level was unbearable. I should have hung them off a tree and the deer could have had a nice salt lick. I will now get slices from Touch of Naples.

I asked for my Sicilian pizza to be cooked extra well, and the dough was still raw in the middle. Not to mention really salty

Giacomos has been in Poughkeepsie for under twenty years could be wrong. Back then it was tasty staff was friendly food was excellent. I was very unhappy that it was not as good as I expected. What did not happen when I walked in was the staff's personality was unfriendly they were annoyed that I questioned the paper menu's higher price than the one up on the Wall. Disappointed with the taste of the food and the atmosphere.I will never return to Giacomo’s again.I most certainly won't recommend Giacomo to anyone.Even the food tastes different. The dipping sauce tasted like an open can of tomato paste poured into a cup. Cooks need to learn how to make a real Italian antipasto salad and an Italian combo ( it was mostly all ham).Horrible and upsetting that I spent over 37 dollars on food that taste horrible.I most certainly won’t recommend Giacomo to anyone.

Really good spot all around, prices are not terrible and it's great pizza for the area. Great for college kids and locals as well. Deserves a higher rating imo.
