My wife and I had a 7:30 reservation to celebrate a special anniversary. Arrived early, were not seated until. 7:55. House front staff unwelcoming and dismissive. However, waitress was friendly and attentive. Appetizers Salmon Fritters and Chicken Satay excellent. HERE is the problem, we both ordered steaks, she the Black Angus Steak Frites, me the Dry Aged Angus Ribeye. (MP $92). Both were ordered medium rare. Her Steak was served almost bloody rare and mine barely pink medium. Given the reputation of Crew's culinary trained staff, this should not happen. Disappointing!!

I was staying in the area and the receptionist at our hotel recommended this place. I had the best hamburger ever here! Beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. I would highly recommend the spot.

Really excellent cuisine, service, and attitude! Shout out to Brianna and The Chef. It was so good we went two nights in a row! We highly recommend the grilled Salmon, and Peanut stir fry: a bottle of organic Goru Verde Monastrey is highly recommended. We will be back!

A nice menu but rushed harried service by waitress. The restaurant was not even a third full on a weekday-therefore not necessary to rush a party of two. The dish was good and the menu nice but set your cell phone on alarm for every ten minutes you eat so as to conform to their “ busy” schedule

They could not make a decent drink for anything! Margarita No Salt came as complete bitters. I returned it & again served me the same horrible bitters drink. I then just asked for Pinot Grigio. My friend ordered a mojito that came bittered as well. She just cancelled her drink order and drank water. I understand it gets busy, but to get it wrong twice... your bartender(s) need training. Food was delightful.

My wife and I were in this town for a wedding and are so thankful we chose this place based on a 4.6 rating. The food was fabulous and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend!

What an excellent find. We went up to see our daughter graduate from Marist. We weren’t sure where to eat and looked through TripAdvisor. We thought we would try Crew. Since we were two people they asked if they could seat us at the chef’s counter. It was fine with us. We enjoyed watching the meals being prepared. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered apps of brussel sprouts and goat cheese wontons. Amazing!! I don’t think I’ve ever had such fresh goat cheese and the sauce on the brussel sprouts was just the right touch. We then weren’t sure what to order for dinner so we chose 2 items, a spicy chicken sandwich and a veggie burger (best veggie burger I have ever had) and asked if they could be cut in half so we could share. Not only was this not a problem, but they split it for us and served us both half of each meal. Everything was delicious, so delicious that we went back with other people the next night. It’s not a large restaurant so I would recommend making reservations. If traveling to or around the Poughkeepsie area I would highly recommend you try this restaurant!!

Last night's dinner at Crew was the best from start to finish. Attentive service. Great Menu options -- especially with the specials. The waitress recommended a wine that was spot on. In fact we went to buy a bottle the next day. Kudos to Chef Tom

I visited this wonderful restaurant on a Saturday night seeking dinner for two without a reservation and was able to get a table. The service was great, being our first time we didn't know much about what was available and the servers happily gave us time to look over the menus. The atmosphere was a mix of a bar and an upscale restaurant. Music was playing but not too loud which was nice. The steak I ordered was excellent and worth the price, however the chef could have done a better job cutting it. If I'm in the area again, I will certainly be back, but I'll probably try and make a reservation next time so I don't push my luck.
Had the Blackened Chicken Sandwich w/ cole slaw and fresh vegetables. Everything including the bread and butter was lit! I will be back again soon! It was off the chart delicious! I enjoyed it!

We arrived in Poughkeepsie late in the afternoon without a reservation. Crew got great reviews so we gave them a call in hopes of getting a reservation. We were able to secure a place at the Chefs bar. Little did we know when we arrived and were seated we saw everything going on to get food out! It was a great place to be seated. Husband had a burger, fries and salad and he loved it! I went with the Ahi tacos and thoroughly enjoyed them. We enjoyed the restaurant so much that we met a friend there for lunch the nest day. We all had salads that were excellent.

The food was amazing and the combination of flavors was incredible. The executive chef (Thomas Kacherski) who opened Crew in 2009 is a 2001 Culinary Institute of America graduate and has been recognized in numerous ways and also has received lots of well deserved awards. Crew also hosts an extern program for the Culinary Institute of America where students can receive training at the restaurant. Another thing that we loved about Crew Restaurant was their use of items from local farms. They share on their menu that they are devoted to local and fresh menu items from the Hudson Valley. "A farm-to-table philosophy dictates the seasonal menu and daily specials". I would definitely say that this was something that encouraged us to try this restaurant and it was evident in the flavors and quality of food that we ate. Crew has been stated as the best restaurant in Poughkeepsie. I understand why. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. A very nice meal. Worthy of a visit.
