Food is delicious and have a great authentic taste and our server Ana recommended a really great dishes to try and explain the process, very knowledgeable. Can’t wait to go again and recommend some delicious food to try.

One of the tastier mexican food in Poughkeepsie, portions are good a the employees are very nice. I usually get the chicken enchiladas or tacos.

Amazing !!!! Luis at the bar is fantastic and always ensures a great time ! The margaritas are the best around , fresh lime juice , fresh ingredients . The food is always on point , memelitas and sopes are my wife’s favorite !

More overall favorite place for dinner. The food is always 10 out of 10. And the drinks never miss. The bartender got this wrist action that adds the spin to every drink. It aint the same id Luis don't shake it for you. And if you are wondering, the prices are very reasonable. I love it here

Had 2 different orders of enchiladas. Excellent flavor and portions generous. Service was very friendly but with only 2 servers tonight they looked harried. Atmosphere pleasant but chair covers ripped and overall the restaurant looked worn.

I got the empanadas -which are Massive!! Like gigantic -very delicious! I had the Calabaza one which came with summer squash and queso blanco, and i loved it. Drinks are good -tons of hibiscus options, which is my favorite drink flavor; more upscale dining; a little pricier. It's not large, so i would definitely get a reservation. Beautiful venue

Tbh guacamole sizing was a rip off. The servers there are so personable! Food was mid, would go back maybe for dinner.

Moved to CT 2 years ago from Texas and thought I had to accept that I couldn’t have Mexican food anymore. I drove 2 hours to come here from Hartford and can’t wait for the next time. Very grateful to have found this place. Food was fresh, tortillas being made in house, and had great service. Queso fundido needed to have some of the grease poured off but everything I had reminded me of home in the best ways possible.

Very authentic flavors, reasonable prices and generous portions but those are not the biggest reasons to go. What sets La Cabanita aside is the service. Attentive, informative staff that know the menu even to the point of advising what items travel and reheat well as we were so impressed, we ordered takeout to bring to our friends. The food the next day tasted like it was just plated! exactly as they said. The Attention to detail was so impressive I’ve noted to mention it at my next training meeting at North East Ford and our Heavy truck Service Center in Milton. Excellent dinner, atmosphere but it’s the staff that create the memorable experience.

Had a great very late lunch at La Cabanita that hit the spot-- charming atmosphere in this former church building turned restaurant and very warm staff. I had the enchiladas suizas and a taste of the Tour of Oaxaca appetizer-- yum!
