The food was great, was riding down the road and seen the big MONTEGO BAY sign and lots of smoke rollin off the smoker so i def had to stop in to try.. i had a jerk chicken combo.. the cabbage/vegetables were so good they had a coconut taste to them and the chicken was smoky, juicy and flavorful with a nice kick of spice.. .rice and beans weee good as well.. the best part was when i finished the meal i was so satisfied and then walking oit the resturant all i could smell the is the fresh jerk coming off the smoker and it made it that much better getting into my car to write this review

We have only ordered to-go from here a few times and normally my husband picks it up. Tonight I went in and the atmosphere was so cozy, with a beautiful wood-stove and awesome looking pool table. When I spoke to the gentleman behind the counter, who I assume was the owner, I told him how nice I thought it was inside, but explained that we have a one year old who tends to throw her food so that’s why we ordered take out. He insisted that it was ok if we brought her in, and that they understand kids, and if she made a mess it was no big deal. I found that to be one of the most genuine, understanding interactions with a restaurant owner I’ve ever had! And he was absolutely sincere! The food is delicious, I got the curry goat and my husband got the fried chicken with fries. Both were amazing. The picture of my food is AFTER I ate a ton of it. Portions are very generous. We’re so happy to have a place like this in the community, restaurants around here are far and few between, and this is run by really sweet, caring people.

Food here is absolutely delicious. I hope this place gets the business it deserves, cuz it’s such a small spot kinda hidden away, but it’s a hidden treasure I promise. Not only is the food great, but if u choose u can go play some pool while playing some music and having a couple drinks. The inside is adorable. I will definitely be getting food from here again. Just will be choosing the less pricey items. Portions are big, but some plates expensive, for me anyway!

I got the jerk ribs. They were cold when I got them. The rice was dry. I told him to put a lot of gravy on the rice they didn’t. I used to go to them when they’re in Poughkeepsie and they were better than than they are now I don’t know if they have a different cook or whatever but I might return to try something else and if that’s not good, I’m just completely done
Denise, the proprietor, is the loveliest person. I had the ribs, which were 5 stars. Get the wings in sweet chili sauce. We also had jerk chicken, also wonderful. Rice and beans!

Sooo I completely forgot to take a pic of my main dish. It was so good I scarfed it down!! I had the pleasure of eating at Montego Bay in Highland! Featuring their Chicken Rasta Pasta. It was so creamy, delicious, with a hint of spice. Great customer service and the music was fun to listen to! We will come back soon and tell our friends to stop by for a bite. Thanks again for the wonderful food and service!!!

Absolutely adore this place and can NOT wait to go back. We felt so at home here, the wood burning stove added a really nice touch. I really hope they add some alcoholic beverages to their menu just because I love the idea of doing dinner, drinks and pool there. I’m so excited to add this to our regular rotation. Service was attentive and quick, atmosphere was comfy and cozy and food was excellent.
