I had their food several times and the food is good my daughter put me on to them and NO I don’t know the owner I usually get Cajun salmon or shrimp or chicken and never been disappointed.. I just wish those dishes was not just on Sat& Sun..

I've been to My Place a couple of times since it re-opened under new ownership. The floorplan is a little odd, and they seem to always have a children's movie playing a little too loud on a TV in the dining area. The place seems clean, and the staff is friendly if a bit informal. The pizza is decent and not too expensive, certainly worth a stop if you're nearby for a couple of slices to go. Most recently, I decided to try their fried chicken sandwich to satisfy a craving (thanks to a certain New Orleans-themed fast food joint). I wanted to love it, and it had all the makings of a great chicken sandwich (cooked to order, real chicken breast, fresh lettuce and tomato, pretzel bun). Unfortunately, the actual experience of eating it fell a bit short. The breading began to separate from the chicken immediately, which caused a bit of a slippage problem where the fillings would be pushed out one side whenever I bit into the other. After a few bites, I was forced to give up, disassemble the sandwich, and eat it with a fork. The parts tasted well enough on their own, and I have no gripes about the quality of the ingredients, I just expected more after paying almost $12 (including fries and drink) and waiting 30 minutes. I'm sure I'll be back to My Place again, but I'll probably stick to the pizza next time.

Excellent little place!! Limited menu but the offerings are delicious and priced right! The parmesan garlic wings are unbelievable! The fries are crispy and hot. The half steak and cheese sandwich is incredible. Portions are huge. Too full to try the donuts but they looked amazing. The owner and his daughter are the best. Polite and courteous very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend this place for a quick eat. Will make it a point to visit again next time I am in Poughkeepsie.

Place I never been too in Poughkeepsie, so I had to give it a shot. True to this foody lifestyle. Anyway I got the spicy chicken sandwich. I was really in the mood for chic-fil-a; but we do not have one in the Poughkeepsie area, so I opted out for anything in the realm of a chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich here was just okay. It came on what seemed to be a pretzel bun, that was a nice added touch, I really enjoyed that. But the chicken itself was just mediocre. It was not crazy dry, but I would of liked it to be more juicy. And the breading started to fall off, when I close to finishing the sandwich. I also got 2 doughnuts. I was hoping to get fresh doughnuts, because I thought that's what they did. But the person who took my order, said they were out of doughnuts. So I had to choose from the doughnuts they had behind the display counter. Either or, they were not that good. They were not yeast type doughnuts, so I would of liked to have it right out the fryer. I would give them another shot, if I could have them right out the fryer. I am not sure how long those doughnuts were sitting there for.. All in all. Okay experience. I will probably return at some point in the future, to try something else on the menu, and see if I can get made to order doughnuts.
