They give you only half the portion and charge you full price. I have tried this place at least 3 different times and it was a huge disappointment every time. The women there have a serious attitude and when questioned about portion they play it off like this is everyone that does this. No it’s not. Just because I’m from the Bronx doesn’t mean I don’t know what portion size is or that I’m considerably over charged for food. This is a NO for me. Close this place down and get a better restaurant.

placed an order for a medium pork entree through Ubereats. The pork was very dry as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day. I called Nelly's and told one of the staff but got hung up on. A waste of $12 smh.

The food is really good. My grandkids love this place! Their favorite is the Ox tails. Lol. I was there for the street fair recently and had rice and beans and the empanadas. They do need to put more meat in the empanadas but the flavor was amazing

Authentic Dominican cuisine served by authentic Dominicans! If you know a little Spanish understand you only know a little Spanish lol. The beef stew with the rice and beans is amazing, the pulled pork even more so.

Love the pulled pork at Nellys. Best little hole in the wall dinner spot in Poughkeepsie. Just wish the neighborhood was a little safer.
Sorry I have to give you a rating of 1 star but disappointed and the food was not good. Got to do better. I normally don't come here for oxtails but my mother wanted to come. We ordered oxtails with rice. I choose the white rice because other choices of rice looked dried out. We ordered the medium size ($14). There was more rice than oxtails. My order had one large piece of meat (which I question if it was oxtail) and three small pieces too tough to eat. So basically I had a container of white rice. My mother's order was similar several tough small pieces with a bunch of dried yellow rice. Both containers of food went in the trash. This location has been a hard no for me for the last couple of years and pretty sure moving forward it will be a hard no for my mother.

The reason of 4 stars due to the mofongo I got was too dried no flavor usually when I get mofongo in any different PR or Dominican restaurants they have some flavor of garlic, has salt and usually are mixed and put it together with garlic oil besides the pieces of chicharrón… Pernil + cuerito with yellow rice was on point!!!! Absolutely delicious!!! Also we got some delicious chicken with green and red peppers, onions and also the yellow rice which my hubby really liked a lot! Def coming for the pernil n the chicken!!!
