Yeah, it's a bar and loud. Staff is fun. Like most places, the menu tries to elevate the food, but the cooks can't deliver on flavor, taste, technique, or temperature.

We stumbled upon this gem while visiting the Vanderbilt Mansion. We were driving by and saw a bunch of people. It was Wednesday 7/2 BINGO NIGHT!! Great fun atmosphere! Excellent service despite a crowd of people! The food was amazing! I want to drive the three hours to get it again! I had the Optimus Prime it was off the charts delicious! 10000/10. With a mountain of fries. My wife had the chicken capers e and raved about it. My service dog loved the entire experience!! Great job T23! We’ll see you again!! Chef’s Kiss!!!!!!!!!!!

My Aunt, cousin, & I went to Tavern 23 otherwise known as T23 & we had a wonderful time. It was Friday night around 5:40 pm and we were offered our choice of inside or outdoor seating. We chose outside up on the deck and it was beautiful. I wish I had taken a video. The bistro lights and overall ambiance were magical. This place is a hidden gem in Poughkeepsie. Our waitress was fun & spunky.
The owner now produces her own canned hard ice t and other flavor beverages. My Aunt had one and loved it.
The food was all delicious. The nachos were huge - a full sheet pan heaping. Would highly recommend these to share or if you want leftovers to take home for yourself. I would try the tuna protein option over the Thai noodles in place of the steak next time. Perfect portion.
We did not have dessert. Couldn’t fit it. We were too full in a good way.

We ordered to go. Walked into a packed house, the kitchen was bustling, the drinks being poured at the bar looked great, and WOW, was the food was delicious!! Portions were great! Im sure the entire menu is fantastic. We are moving out of town, but we will definitely be letting our friends and family know about Tavern 23!! A++ establishment. Thank you, Tavern 23!

Went last night. Perogies are so good. I'd FIGHT grandma and even let her use brass knuckles!
Due to it being so late and almost closing time, I ordered simple fish & chips. The fries were Delicious albeit a lil greasy but can totally look past.
The fish filets were seasoned lightly which is great for me bc i can salt & pepper accordingly.
The coleslaw is great!!!! Lightly sauced but seasoned perfect. Oh and tattar sauce was dead on excellently made.
The only real complaint i have there is nooooooo way to find this place at night bc of no or very little signage. However, push through till you find this joint. TRUST ME, YOULL THANK THIS FAT BOY!

T 23 is a solid favorite of mine! Indoor Service has always been fast, friendly and excellent for the entire length of business operations from their inception, but several times that I’ve sat outside with friends, the server has been neglectful. But other than that deficiency, indoor experiences have always been top-notch with both servers and food quality. Ambiance is that of a pub with one big open room and there’s always a lively vibe flowing about.
Such a great late night place! Perfect place to hang after work, food & service was great!

We were visiting town and I liked the looks of the place. It was busy and the outside seating was nice and enjoyable and the service was great. The food just wasn’t good. I ordered the fish and chips and it might have been the worst I’ve ever had. There was absolutely no flavor and only ketchup made it edible. My nephew ordered the quesadilla because he’s a kid and there was just no taste with the food. I was bummed about that. Maybe it was a bad night.
