Saturday night female server was extremely rude no greeting no goodbye and just awful in between for absolutely no reason. Save your money and get your Thai food somewhere better.
Uber eats delivery. Everything delicious! Tried something different Kang Keow Wan Community & Thai Dumplings. Loved it. Dumpling appetizers really good. Enjoyed with Spaghetti style slices carrot and dipping sauce. Main meal wonderful. Great flavor steaming hot. Spicy so careful if not your thing. Everything comes together, so good! Added Jasmine rice, perfection Couldn't wait leftovers today.. Highly Recommend. Also recommend trying something new. Believe will be pleasantly surprised whatever order won't be disappointed. I look forward trying Lots different dishes never had before.
Decent Thai food overall. I ordered the chicken pad Thai, beef pad Khing, and mango sticky rice. The pad Thai was very good, but the pad Khing did not have the best flavor. The mango sticky rice was decent but a bit too sweet, and the mango wasn’t ripe enough, making it slightly chewy. However, I’ve had other dishes from this restaurant at catered events at Vassar, and those were all delicious. I don’t remember all the dishes, but the chicken satay and Thai spring rolls were very good. I think this restaurant has some great options, and I’ll definitely return to try more.
UPDATE:
I recently tried the veggie duck pineapple curry. It was not the best dish I have had, the curry broth was very watery and lacked flavor
I went to Thai Spice in Poughkeepsie and it fell short of my expectations. While the staff initially greeted me promptly with menus, the service quickly deteriorated. The restaurant's atmosphere was uncomfortably loud with staff having personal phone conversations and inappropriate discussions from nearby patrons being clearly audible. Mind you only 5 people were in the dining area (including the two staff members). The food quality was concerning - the calamari had an off-putting smell that even other customers commented on. I did not even try it based of of the very pungent fishy smell. The Mee Krob was very bland. It seemed as though they just drenched it in sauce. Hygiene issues were observed, including a staff member not washing hands after sneezing at the bar area but continuing her loud Facetime conversation. The facility maintenance needs attention, with duct tape on seats and dirty dishes left uncleared from prior patrons. The warm sake was the only good aspect of the meal.
⭐⭐ (2 out of 5 stars)
Not very friendly.
First time trying and I really liked the food! I ordered Pad See Yue with chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly, not dry or chewy. My boyfriend ordered pineapple fried rice with shrimp and they gave a lot of shrimp! The rice wasn't greasy at all. The menu overall is very well priced and the restaurant has a cozy interior. I'm glad we gave it a try; I'd be happy to go back.
Ordered and picked up. Pineapple fried rice and chicken, Thai chicken with seasame seeds with sticky rice, very good. Mango sticky rice, delicious! Well definitely be back 😊
My friends and I stopped here the other day for a late lunch and I have given this review a three start because of the experience of my friend's meals. My meal was delicious: I ordered the fried wontons and the vegetable noodle soup. The portions were VERY generous and I wound up taking most of the soup home. My friends however did not have quite the same experience. The spare ribs did not have flavor or good color and they came on a plate of tiny ribs, one inch wide with perhaps one bite of meat.
Initially I had a rib 'order to go' for my husband and just looking at my friend's order, I cancelled it and ordered something else. The biggest turn off for my friend was that his entree came in a porcelain bowl that had not one, not two but THREE chips. Thai Spice needs to do better than this if they are to stay in business. For that reason, I would not go back even though my meal was good.
Ok, When I ask for silverware and my delivery address is a hotel........GIVE ME MY UTENSILS! How am I going to eat fried rice and Pad Thai? Completely ridiculous.
We ordered red curry with chicken and green curry with beef. Let me tell you... the curry was watery and lacked flavor. The devil himself could never make food this foul.
The chicken looked bland. Veggies were soggy and tasted old. I tried to feed this to my pet pig, and she refused (just kidding but seriously).
The diabolical thing is- this is the third time we gave Thai Spice a chance. The first time, the food was just as disgusting. The second time we went in person and the food was great. Perhaps, when you order food online, they water down the ingredients, but if you dine-in, they cook it well..idk.
This third time, the food is absolutely disgusting. Red curry is supposed to be RED, not pink. I will not be returning a fourth time and certainly will not recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent location for getting Thai food. The food has so much flavor and is very delicious. The staff is always friendly and work hard to ensure they keep up with how busy the restaurant can get. It's a very clean environment and located close to Vassar College.
