HORRIBLE!! Let's start off with the setting.. Rats!! I swear there were about 5 rats coming out of a whole in the wall. Disgusting..! Next is the drinks and food..The drinks were ok..but I asked for ice!! No ice..I asked again they forgot. I let it slide. I ordered a simple salad. 35 minutes! I timed it. Keep in mind I wasn't with anyone there was no reason it should have taken that long. The place wasn't even that busy..I only recommend this place if you want to have a bad time.

This is my go to place for a relaxing trendy and inclusive experience. I feel so unique and exclusive and yet the staff remember my orders and details I have provided which make me feel so welcome and appreciated. Definitely my favorite chill destination.

We had a reservation and when we came over we learned that the place is closed for renovations.

Tuesday at 7:30 and not a soul I’m the joint. Hostess was also bartender AND waitress!! Food arrives cold. We were the only TWO people in the restaurant besides the2 cooks. HOW could the masked potato’s be cold?

We definitely caught this place on an off night. Very short handed. Sat down at 7 pm. Asked where our dinner was after 9 pm. No order entered. May try again next year. Maybe.

Incompetently and carelessly run restaurant. Front house staff seemed to have never set foot in a restaurant before and to have been hired that morning. Kitchen yelling "SERVICE" repeatedly to get their attention. No bartender. Plates were dirty. Bathroom mirror and surfaces were so dusty people had written in it. Sent the meal back and left. Other customers seemed oblivious, which is your only defense mechanism if you eat here.

Absolutely terrible service! I am sure we were there on an off night but....I would NEVER go back! Inexperienced staff, a stand in manager, 2 chefs completing 2 meals at a time and a packed restaurant on a Friday night. The food was barely warm and we waited over an hour for the food! It tastes good but probably would have been better if it was hot. Oh and the stand in manager didn't even offer to comp any part of the meal and then said we should come to his restaurant next time! Wow.....

3.5 stars is obviously not an option....me giving 4*'s ...also not really an option. A nearly empty restaurant to me means I'm going to blast the pants off the people who came to this joint on a Friday with a perfect dining experience. If nothing else out of boredom, not...it's Friday and dead so I'ma smoke a joint in the back and phone it in. There is clear C.I.A. influence, it is Poughkeepsie after all. You still have to ya know... execute. Service matched your worst 3am highway diner wait staff.

What a fabulous restaurant. From out of town and looking for a casual dinner. Service, food, presentation and atmosphere top notch. Highly recommend it.

We recently held a bridal shower at Canvas, the event venue adjacent to the Artist's Palate. The food was incredibly good and beautifully presented, the space itself is (appropriately) a blank canvas that is easily transformed, and the staff was wonderful. The only thing I would warn is that it can be difficult to communicate with the management, so make sure you follow up emails with phone calls until you feel comfortable all is confirmed.

We really enjoyed our dinner here when we came for a Marist College visit. The food was prepared and cooked beautifully. The staff was incredibly friendly and prompt. My first pour of wine was skimpy so our server, Sean, took care of it by giving me a very generous second glass! Toward the end of the night, the two chefs came to our table to see how we liked our meal. Chef Xavier and Chef Jon are very personable, sweet and very talented. I had the scallops entree on the menu and absolutely loved them! They were buttery soft like they are supposed to be but rarely are in other restaurants. They also came with delicious roasted Brussel sprouts. We will be back!
