Cool old bar, but their draught lines were all out. We stayed for lunch anyway and we're pleasantly surprised by the portions. We all got an extra meal out of it. Standard pub food, otherwise.

The Derby is one of those spots you can always count on for a great night out. They have an awesome selection of beers on tap, and the crowd tends to be younger—mostly college kids—which gives the place a fun, energetic vibe. There’s always something happening here, whether it’s karaoke night or a DJ spinning genuinely great music.
While the cover charge for certain nights feels a bit unnecessary for this area, everything else really delivers. The draft beer selection is excellent, the drinks come out quickly, and the overall atmosphere is lively without trying too hard.
If you’re looking for a spot with great taps, good energy, and consistently fun nights, The Derby is absolutely worth stopping by.

Ria deserves a raise. She took care of a last minute party of 20! She couldn’t have been more hospitable and was really on her toes. If we didn’t live 200 miles away we would be back weekly!

Came to this place after my best friend’s wedding! Food was amazing and Ria took care of a crew of 20+ people incredibly. 10/10 recommend the derby to anyone visiting poughkeepsie that wants the dive bar vibe with great food! Get the french onion soup!

This was such a great spot! They had so many options, a pretty great pub menu. My family of four were all able to find something and we were all very pleased. Definitely recommend the empanadas and mac & cheese, they were stand out, but everything we got was great. The staff were super friendly and helpful, it was about $10-20 per person and I would def recommend to stop by if you’re in the area!
