The vegan empanadas here are great! I am a pretty picky eater and I have yet to try something from here that I didn't love. The empanadas are crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor on the inside. The signature and birria empanadas are my favorite! The baked Mac and cheese is excellent too! Deliveries are always hot and fresh. Anthony, the owner, is friendly, accommodating and quick to respond to orders and messages. It's so great to have easy access to vegan dishes that are flavorful and affordable! Looking forward to trying more from The Plant Palate!

A plant based empanada foodie spot! Exactly what my life needed with convenient delivery option available. As a vegetarian I'm always on the hunt for the best of the best in vegetarian cuisine. I'm officially in love with the Plant Palate and their F I R E empanadas. Handmade, baked to order, these empanadas are a feel good meal. Make sure to try their rice and beans side. They have a little kick too! So I ordered the ground beef copycat signature empanadas which can easily fool ya. I honestly had to do a double take because just from the look it felt like this was real ground beef. The sriracha mayo gave it the perfect kick too! To put this empanada to the test, we told our meat eating sister that this was a ground beef empanada and ours was the vegetarian one. She ate it convinced that it was meat. A few hours later we finally told her she had the same one we did. She couldn't believe it and it really had her fooled. So 100% compliments to the chef! They also sell sweet (nutella) empanadas (I'll def be trying this one next time). Bottom line: vegan, vegetarian or meat eater, you NEED to try the plant palate. It will leave your palate having a party with the extra spicy kick and the bomb flavors. Thanks to the Plant Palate for making amazing food like this. Can't wait to try some more!

Where to start...upon entering the restaurant my party was very excited to enjoy the nice atmosphere and delicious smells. Our server informed us that they were slightly overbooked that evening. That being said, our meal was one disappointing mess after another. We never received bread or a chefs tasting plate. Our appetizers came after 45 minutes (and some were forgotten). We ordered the artist's plate of meat and cheeses that was served with chips that were completely stale and broken. We then waited about another hour for our main courses to arrive. Some of the plates were very good, but the portions were extremely small for the prices. We also ordered a plate that came with a poached egg on it that was completely overcooked. When we informed our waiter and he politely took it back and returned with another poached eggs that was completely raw, which ruined the entire dish. We sent the dish back and asked to have it taken off the bill. Our waiter returned the raw egg plate to the head chef/owner who did absolutely nothing. No one came to ask us about our meal or apologize for the inedible food. We were celebrating my mother's 60th birthday and had asked for a dessert for her. We waited another half hour or more to receive a dish with an unlite candle and no singing. While we were waiting we watched another table receive their dessert with a lit candle and multiple wait staff singing for their birthday. They also charged us $8 for an extremely dry piece of cake that we waited over a half an hour for. After this whole experience our waiter brought our check and we paid for our meal. He came back to tell us he forgot to put items on the bill and had to charge us again. When I went to speak with him about how disappointed I was about our experience he completely ignored me as he swiped our credit card again for the items he forgot.

Don't be fooled by the sleepy downtown feel of Main Street - The Artist's Palate is anything but! The space has a very cool vibe with exposed brick and NYC street scene paintings done but a local artist. The open kitchen in the back allows for easy access to the chefs who happily share suggestions on the menu. The choices are varied, unique and delicious. We started with a couple of cheese/meat plates to share followed by the ricotta dumplings, grilled quail and heirloom squash salad. The wine selection was excellent and the service was attentive and friendly. I definitely recommend The Artist's Palate when in Poughkeepsie!

Initially made reservations for eight people and at the eleventh hour just about doubled it. They accommodated us cheerfully and I am so incredibly glad they did. The food was great, the service was wonderful (no mean feat for a table of 14), and the ambiance was perfect. Really great spot, would not hesitate to come back.

Chef Malcolm and Chef John made very delicious meals. They were friendly. Came to great our table. The wait staff were delightful and friendly. Drop by and say Hello to Daniel and Michael. The desserts are to die for - try the Nutella Breadpidding with the homemade Vanilla Bean Ice Cream!!

Great restaurant in downtown. Innovative menu with knowledgeable, friendly service. Really like their drink menu. Trust me on trying the drink made with golden beet vodka. Really refreshing and tasty. Their take on lobster Mac and cheese was off the charts as well
