Food was incredible and so was the service.
Steve was our server and the bartender for the night.
Amazing cocktails and service from him—knowledgeable about the menu and passionate about his job.

Beautiful hotel and restaurant!! The food concepts sound great. I ordered the brussel sprout bravas - they were ok, just salty with no other flavor. I also ordered the green goddess salad with chicken. Salad itself was good. It’s not worth the price. The chicken was undercooked. I had a bad stomach ache the next day. The service was super great! The drink I had was delicious! I’d skip those two items on the menu though. Maybe I’ll try the bucatini next.

The Salt Line, tucked away at the Heartwood hotel, has an elegant atmosphere without feeling stuffy. Their promise of locally sourced ingredients shows up in each and every dish. I was blown away by the food. These are the kinds of dishes you go out for - complex, creative, and delicious. The Green Goddess salad was a standout, with impossibly crisp lettuce and a Gorgonzola dressing I'm still thinking about. I also had the House Made Rigatoni with truffle sauce, which was cooked to a perfect al dente. I added salmon, which was cooked brilliantly: a bold, peppery crust on the outside with a soft, beautifully tender interior. Finally, the garlic hummus was bursting with garlicy goodness, pairing well with the naan and dukkah. While our servers were very friendly and attentive, there were a few small fumbles, like needing to swap out a smudged wine glass. The ambiance also has some room to grow. The sticky floor, heavy/worn chairs, and sparse outdoor area were minor distractions from an otherwise lovely setting. Overall, I think The Salt Line is a fantastic restaurant that is close to being truly exceptional. Judging by past reviews vs. my actual experience, it seems receptive to feedback - I genuinely can't wait to return and see it live up to its incredible potential.
We really liked Saltline. Very sophisticated without being stuffy. Service was very gracious.
Food perfect. The only negative was the heaviness of the chairs near the window. You can’t move them without a dolly. But all in all divine!

I had a bridal brunch(a small party of 13)on August 27 at the Saltline. It was a fantastic start with the initial meeting with Tim, the manager. He was attentive, professional and a pleasure to work with as well as our waiter, John who was also a delight and very accommodating. He was such a pleasure that I increased my gratuity amount from 20 to 25%. First time ever!
Delicious culinary dishes with plating which made our food look appetizing and enhanced our brunch experience.
I can’t thank you enough for making my future daughter in law’s bridal brunch a memorable event with all the special touches. After the brunch, my guests shared with me how much fun they had and what a wonderful experience it was for them as well.
If anyone is considering a small gathering this is the restaurant to go to. You won’t be disappointed!
I (we) will be back! Thank you so very much!
Best,
Joan Hagedorn
