Just got home and cracked open my large chicken and shrimp Rasta Pasta. My GOD! Talk about delicious 😋. The right amount of seasoning and heat. The mango-passion juice and the kiwi lemonade are a hit. Definitely earned a returning customer in me! ❤️✊🏾

I still bewildered by how generous and delicious my jerk chicken plate was. Chicken that slides off the bone with just a poke of the fork. The flavors are both rich and warming. I cannot think of anything better to eat on a fall day. The beans and rice & cabbage to go with was a perfect balance. I am so thankful for the ability to eat this well for such a reasonable price. I got to try Upstream through Vassar's Munchie Mondays partnership.

So my wife and I made a last-minute stop to Poughkeepsie New York. We are a little over an hour and 45 minutes away. We ordered the roadie and we did like a sort of curry vegetable concoction that included like beans and tofu man. Oh man, it was out of this world highly recommend The owner was very very sweet very welcoming great great vibes highly highly recommend.

My family ordered and can recommend goat curry, braised oxtail, rasta pasta with jerk chicken, and chicken soup. I have a vegetarian diet, so Garfield adjusted ackee and festivals for my diet. The homemade juices are yummy, especially pineapple juice, sorrell, and the peanut butter smoothie.

I had an amazing experience at this Jamaican restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—authentic flavors, perfectly seasoned, and served fresh. The oxtail dish tasted like it was made with love and care. I'm from West Virginia so we really don't get much of this type of authentic cuisine and restaurants.
What really stood out, though, was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owner personally greeted me and made sure we felt right at home. Their friendliness and genuine hospitality added so much to the overall experience—it truly felt like visiting family.
I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great Jamaican food and even better service!

The food was delicious and generously portioned with a short wait time. We ordered the Rasta pasta, curry goat, and oxtail. We also enjoyed some of their crisp beverages. Above all, the owners were genuinely welcoming and warm-hearted. Come here to enjoy some hearty food and support a lovely family-owned establishment!

I can’t recommend Upstream Cafe enough! The food is so flavorful!
I want to say the food was the highlight because it’s sooooo good but it’s also family owned and operated by the nicest folks, and the restaurant was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, so it’s altogether a fantastic place. We got the jerk chicken, shrimp Rasta pasta, and a whole snapper. The portions are large - our to go bags were super heavy :) My kid and I agree it’s the most delicious food we’ve had on our trip so far.
