Last evening my boyfriend and I, as always, had a wonderful Friday night fish fry at JBs (highly recommend). When we left the restaurant and returned to my car we were unable to start it as the car couldn't detect my key fob. We went back into the restaurant and searched around the table that we had been sitting at, unable to find my key fob there. That's when our server, Laura came to our rescue and asked several regular patrons (who were playing pool) if they had any recommendations. One fella offered us his truck so we could get back to Penn Yan to get my boyfriends car. Another fella followed us back out to my car with a flashlight to search my car interior (where we ultimately found my key fob under one of the back seats). We want to give a huge shout-out to the caring and helpful people who went out of their way to help us.

Waitress was amazing. Bartender grabs straws by the plastic (gross). Prime rib was dry!

We come here a few times a summer (we have a seasonal camp nearby) my husband always gets the fish fry, he swears it’s the best around!! I try something different each time, haven’t found anything that I “crave” or want to come back for. Chicken cordon bleu has been the best thing I have tried so far. Beer is always cold, that’s important!!

This place is awesome, it will be our new go to place to grab a meal/drink when up to the cottage. Our waitress was fantastic she was a lot of fun. Food was excellent, 4 of us went and not one complaint. The parking lot is a gravel one, but plenty available
