It was January of 2018… four friends showed up to what is still considered the greatest diner we have ever been to. Nothing will ever top the authentic delicious breakfast we were served. We talk about this place as though it’s Bethlehem and we are the disciples following the stars to Jesus’s births- it’s that good. God speed and Godbless this place

I got the Apple Cinnamon Pancakes with a side of bacon. It was pretty good. It’s a cute diner with a country ambiance. I recommend it. Just make sure you bring cash because they don’t take credit cards.

We stopped here on our way back from Cooperstown; good food, (one of the few places where the coleslaw is actually enjoyable!) generous portions, and wonderful atmosphere. The server was very pleasant. Diner was clean considering we arrived an hour before closing. I was impressed that even though closing time is 2pm none of the staff complained when diners came in 15 minutes prior. As an added plus there was plenty of room in the back lot to park our camper rig, and there's actually YooHoo in the cooler!

This diner is like a blast from the past, and that's a good thing! It's like this place has been untouched by modernization, which is kind of refreshing. Just so you know, this area is as rural as it gets. I mean, I didn't spot a single police car, ambulance, or even a post office in Roxbury, Lexington, Prattsville, and the like during our stay. We were in the area for a weekend, and we needed some breakfast before a big hike. There weren't many options nearby, which made our decision easier and harder at the same time. The place itself is pretty simple. If you're from the city, it's like stepping into a different world. The air is crisp, the buildings look straight out of the past, neon signs abound, and there are these big wooden tables and chairs or benches to sit on. There's also a bar that stretches across the kitchen, a couple of bathrooms, and a tiny arcade that refused to take my dollars. The service was great, and our food came out quickly, and it tasted good too. I went for the southwestern wrap, while my partner had the classic breakfast. Everything was solid, and they kept our coffee cups full. We really enjoyed our time at this diner, and we'd definitely recommend giving it a try. On that gloomy day, it felt like we were transported to a time when we had zero responsibilities. And that nostalgic feeling was really something special. Prattsville Diner is like a relic from a bygone era, untouched by the exuberant updates of modern times. It's like a piece of history nestled amidst nature and towering mountains, separated by rivers and endless tree lines. This place is truly in a peaceful, remote area, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. ---If you're looking for a good breakfast spot, I highly recommend it. Just a tip, though - we passed by around 3 o'clock later in the day, and the place was closed. So, it's best to plan your visit before then to make sure you can enjoy their food and atmosphere.
