This is my 3rd time having a meal from here, but 1st time at the establishment. Was in the area and figured let me see this place that I've only ordered from DoorDash. It's quaint (meaning tiny) with 4 barstools and a countertop to eat in. No restroom either. This is mainly a takeout ? & delivery spot.Greeted when I entered by both the servers and the wonderful aromas. Huge fresh tray of black rice (d'riz a djon djon) was being placed in the buffet setup when I arrived. Everyday they have a selection of entrees to choose from, but the most special are only on the weekends or just on Sunday. Wanted to know if they made goat meat in sauce (kabrit nan sòs) and it's only on Sundays. However, it's not on the DoorDash menu.The griot thus far has not been disappointed, and I've had their conch (lambi) about a week ago which was delicious too. I don't understand why some of these Haitian restaurants are so lazy. There's no menu in this place anywhere. You don't know how much anything costs, and they tell you to scan so you can save the contact, and that don't work. It's Sunday 2pm, why does the meat, and plantain looks like it was cooked 2 days ago? You're not in Haiti, please do better.

Must be close friends & family leaving 5 star reviews…………..The BUY BLACK term has totally went out the window with this place. It’s hard to support your own ppl when they are disgustingly rude. I order from here often my son loves the food but today was my last straw. I noticed If you are not Hatitian or a man you will get nothing but eye rolls and attitudes from the servers, management is RUDE also. NEVER AGAIN ‼️

The customer service at this restaurant is below standard. I waited over an hour for my food and another customer paid for a fish to find out they gave his food to another customer. The girls working there are very rude. I try my best to support their establishment but I will never come to this place again. Besides it’s in a rough neighborhood where parking is limited. Not worth the hassle.

I used to often do take out here. However, lately their customer service has gotten worse. I asked for a small order of white rice and okra with beef. The lady only gave me one piece of meat and a bunch of okra. I said where is the meat? She said there is meat and added another small piece. So I called the owner’s brother and explained what happened. He said well if you are asking for more meat in a stew, don’t expect too much. I told him I’m not expecting a platter of meat however if you charge almost $14, you shouldn’t only include two small pieces of meat. He added another small piece and the ladies were laughing. I was humiliated. He did not even correct them. They acted like I was getting the food for free and begging. I will never recommend another person to this restaurant again.
