Visited one of our favorite boutique hotels on Long Island, Quogue Club, this week. We have stayed there several times over the past ten years and have always had a quiet comfortable stay. This time was no exception! We ran a little late due to traffic but we’re welcomed so cordially! The entire club is always immaculate…not a stone unturned! The rooms are super clean and well appointed with a welcome basket including water and snacks. The beds a super comfortable and always make for a great nights sleep! Another highlight is the incredible hot breakfast which is included with your stay. You order whatever you’d like from a wide assortment of entrees…believe me when I tell you that you won’t need to eat again until dinner after this breakfast…it’s that great and that plentiful! Thanks to Mindy and Kevin for their kindness in serving us this “feast” ! And Kevin…it was unbelievably great to see you again and to catch up with you …you’re a true asset to Quogue Club and we enjoy your professionalism and your down to earth nature as well. Last but certainly not least is Zackery, Quogue Clubs General Manager. He is very accommodating and personable interacting when needed in a pleasant and service oriented way. You can tell he enjoys what he does and is ever mindful of making your guest experience the best it can be! Thanks again to all…we appreciated your hospitality!
Our stay at the Quogue Club came at the tail end of a long vacation in the US, and it turned out to be the best place to end our holiday. It is situated in a quiet historic village called Quogue, and it is just before North Fork and South Fork which makes it perfect for exploring both without doing unnecessary backtracking. Well appointed rooms. Very comfortable bed with luxurious sheets. Loved the detailing of the club logo on the linen and towels. Very good upkeep of the rooms - turns out that the walls had recently been painted and there was not a spot or mark on the walls. Good wifi. They have connecting rooms - though I suspect that the number of connecting rooms might be limited. They have a small kids room which was great for my younger kids. Breakfast was excellent. Service was impeccable. Dallas was very accommodating and helpful, and he gave good restaurant suggestions in and around Quogue. The village residents' private beach is a short drive away and you need to get the permit from the front desk to enter the beach. I considered cycling there but it made more sense to drive given that we were carrying bags/food/etc for a picnic. The club provides foldable chairs and umbrellas (which is another reason why it makes more sense to drive to the beach). The beach is clean and has powder sand. Bring your own food and water as understandably there are no shops along the beach. If you are looking for a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is it.
An absolutely superb experience from check in to check out. The staff maintains European style standards and management has been trained abroad so that visitors from Asia or Europe will feel it is professionally run. Unlike so many Hamptons getaways overrun with loud and ill behaved knuckleheads the club is a club and guests respect the protocols. An inventive and rigorous chef offers a substantial menu including avocado toast that is perfection itself for breakfast. Elegance of this caliber starts at the top. The club was saved by a group of local friends whose governance sets the right tone and it really is the ideal weekend spot for the east end. Don’t miss the gallery across the street which is on a level with Chelsea for contemporary art.
This lovely hotel is quite a find! Although very pricey it was worth it for a long weekend with access to a glorious empty beach. The hotel is beautifully appointed with lovely bar and restaurant. Delicious breakfast was included. Dinner at the restaurant was absolutely delicious especially the Cesar salad and the halibut. The pizza and the burger were also very good. We sat outside on the lovely front porch for dinner but had to finish dinner by 9:00 due to town noise restrictions. They graciously moved us inside for deserts and didn’t rush us. All of the staff were efficient and were very helpful. They carried all of our bags from one room to the other when we changed rooms on the first day so we didn’t have to return from the beach at 3:00. They have nice beach chairs umbrellas and bikes for guest use. You do need to choose your room carefully. Our initial room was very, very small that was very clearly disclosed when I booked the reservation so we were expecting it. We only stayed one night in the small room and moved for the next two nights to a lovely large room with a king bed. The only downside was the two windows looked out over the air conditioning units and the kitchen exhaust so ask about room location when you book a king room. Our fitness had the small cottage in the back that was really charming and very comfortable with a small sitting room.
The room was lovely; comfortable bed, beautiful linen, great shower and high quality amenities. Quiet and serene - a true getaway. What makes this inn extraordinary is the staff - always aiming to please, led by a personable, efficient and extremely hospitable manager.
This hotel is beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful, generous with their time - they could not have been nicer! The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. We also ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The food is outstanding. This hotel is a treat!
From the staff to the well appointed rooms, to the food...it was fantastic! It had a warm, welcoming and most gracious feeling to it, like being welcomed into a dear friend's home. The food was fabulous, too! We loved it!!
Great Personal service in a wonderful ambiance do make you feel realy happy. The hotel is far smaller than icons like shutters on the Beach or Chathams Bar inn, but can definetly can compete with them on overall experience.
By management who was snarky, unhelpful and rude. We’ve stayed here before last year and the staff was much nicer, but unfortunately now it feels like their regard for their guests has diminished. Disappointing.
A wonderful place to stay... well kept, quiet, beautifully appointed, friendly. I’ve returned several times and it only seems to get better...great care goes into running and up-keep. Not walking distance to beach but bikes are provided to get there.
