This is a terrific restaurant. Loved the duck breast. On other visits I had the chicken and the steak (and the fries are excellent). All are excellent. The appetizers were excellent as well. One of the hidden gems in the Hudson Valley, highly recommend.

An absolute gem top to bottom. The salmon is delightful. The steak was perfectly done with a perfect sauce and excellent fries. It’s not always easy to make a steak frites stand out but this one really does.
Finally, the apple crepe dessert is awesome. I had to come back a second night in a row before leaving town bc I couldn’t get it out of my mind.

Hey Mid Hudson Foodies! Brigitte Bistro in Red Hook deserves your attention. It already has a local following; it rates a broader clientele. The cuisine is creative & first rate, the executive chef is also the owner, the bartender is fun to talk to. On our last visit, we shared the special warm goat cheese salad to start. My wife enjoyed her branzino, I loved the roast duck. We will be back.

Service slows down when there is a crowd, but that's also a good opportunity to take it all in. Inside it's cozy and the decoration transports you somewhere else, probably in France.
