I haven't eaten at Bridget Bistro, however I mentioned a prefixed menu about Mother's Day. And was greeted with hostility from Nick Ronan. The chief. I now realize it was a different Bridget Bistro from another state. The quick mouthed judgement from this cook thinking I was making everything I read up and discrediting his restaurant has left an extremely sour taste in my mouth. I tried to explain that it was my mistake. Unfortunate for him I will never eat at His establishment and anyone that asks me about his restaurant will hear about my unfortunate experience.

In short this place is great. It is out of the way in Red Hook NY but the ambiance, Chef and staff are reminiscent of the best places in France to enjoy a great meal with your family. Try the duck a l'orange with a nice cote du Rhone wine. You will not be disappointed, you will love it.

Been there three weeks in a row and the quality of food has been consistently fantastic. The very gifted chef is now the owner, so the way the place is run has changed. As far as the “French” quality- it is as French as you can get outside of Paris or NYC!

FABULOUS!! So glad the place changed owners!!! The new owner and chef has streamlined the menu - simplified the dishes to perfection. The bad rep of the old owner should be erased completely from your mind. The meal was wonderful from start to finish. Perfectly cooked fish - excellent beet salad - and an amazing apple crepe for dessert. Please go and support this restaurant - they are doing a great job !

Food was quite off in our latest visit; short ribs were overcooked and the charge was more than the waitress had said, after being charged for splitting the salad, which wasn't mentioned when she offered to do so. How can there be such inconsistencies with different visits. We will take a break again, after having been here a month or so ago and having a good meal. Who knows.
Wow!!!! been here many times to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries , but last night I went with my Girlfriend and the food was amazing Bartender was great and seems like the new ownership has a great

the food is great w the new chef although their old chef is back. it is classic, beautiful plated french bistro food. generous portion size and done just right, the vibe is stuffy w old white ppl, as is the owner, over bearing and seems rude to the staff, not great vibe

We had an amazing experience here. Amazing service. The delicata squash salad and foie Gras apps were incredible. Not to mention the braised veal and duck l'orange! All amazing. We will absolutely be back. What a gem.
