This is a wonderful place to adopt a cat up on the third floor which is still labeled Morgan's cat cafe. On the first floor is a vegan restaurant which has decent food, but... they have nothing to do with one another. There is no cafe where the cats are right there and they haven't updated their website to make this clear. I might suppose they weren't able to continue but it's a shame the way it's set up now because driving by you'd ever know the cat adoption center was upstairs at all.

The cats seemed so happy and healthy!

Locked and unreachable during posted open hours. We came to visit Morgan's at 11:45 on January 2nd (a Wednesday) and unfortunately no one was there. Disappointing.

Had a bad experience!!!! Phone number and hours wrong on FB. Applied to adopt the perfect cat was 2nd in line. They called my cell and left ONE message (even thought my home # was put down as primary) which I didn’t get timely. Meanwhile I sent 3 emails,2 Facebook messages and stopped in (when I found out hours were wrong) over 2 days trying to connect and adopt. They gave my cat away. Very unhappy.

I decided to treat my mother to a lunch at the cat cafe. It is something we both have been wanting to do but don't want to go into NYC. We found Morgan's and thought it would b a smart idea. The website says it opens at 11:00, and we arrive at 10:50. My mother and I wait until 11:05 to go in, assuming any opening necessities would have been taken care of. We walk up two flights of stairs and read the little “Cat Rules” sign they have up. After reading we go inside, we are greated with a mother and son taking care of cats. They do not acknowledge us but I understand, they have cats on there hands. We look into the glass that separates the cats from the waiting area and there is a sign. “These Cats have the Sniffles and can not play” Completely understandable....except that was where all the cats were. We weren't sure if they were closed so we waited to ask a worker, she said hello to us and walked off. We waited until 11:20 to decide to leave. As a first impression, this wasn't one we were hoping for. I'm hoping to return sometime and hopefully get an actual experience there. Maybe if all cats are sick, put it on your website or on a sign at the door.

My children and their grandma loved Morgan's Cat Cafe. We drove from New Paltz because my kids saw an article in The Almanac about it. We even met Morgan; what an amazing kid! My daughter can't wait to bring her friends. She wants to have a party there. My kids said, “Mommy, we love Red Hook because it has Morgan's Cat Cafe.” 😊 😻

I think Bobbi Jo is doing a spectacular job of providing for animals while making it fun and well worth the visit. Thank you for contributing so meaningfully to our community. Folks should go to Morgan's Cat Cafe just to witness love in action. I can't think of anything more creative than opening a storefront that supports itself purveying healthy food and draws people in with adorable, adoptable kittens. Bravo, Bobbi Jo!

Ventilation system needs work. I found a delightful looking cafe, with tasty food. But the atmosphere, I mean the air I was breathing, was heavy with cat. Not cat piss or p**** but there was no doubt that the air was being shared with tens of cats. Could the cafe space and the cat house be exhausted separately?

Very fun place. Good food, even if you aren't vegan. Very nice atmosphere. It is quirky and cozy at the same time. Not to mention kitty snuggles! For a small donation you get to sit with and play with any cats they have in house. And the double doors keep the cats from stealing your food and putting fur in your drinks. Make sure to check it out and don't forget dessert. The coconut cake is to die for.

Delicious food, great staff and adorable cats to watch and/or play with. What could be better than this little slice of heaven in Red Hook?

Awesome place. Great Vegan Menu. Fantastic idea of play with and adopt kitties whilst enjoying lunch. Good retail and recreation. Keep up the good work ladies .
