I absolutely LOVE the new modernized look!!! The pizza oven is beautiful! My go to is the chicken bacon ranch or the grandma. This place can hold its own if they had a place in NYC, the pizza is
delicious! The dough and sauce is so tasty ?

I had the deep fried calzone. Delicious! Joe was our waiter and he was wonderful. I will definitely be back!

I have always loved this place. Last 4 months this place has become a sub pair pizza spot. The service was slow and the kids they have running around are not even listening.

I went to the counter and ordered two slices, then the boy just disappeared. A girl came up seeing that he just left a customer hanging asked if I was finished. I proceeded to order a drink and a small side salad.

Was told to pick a table and waited for my quick salad. Followed by my slices to arrive that was cold. When I tried to ask for a wait staff they all ignored the waves even though I was passed several times.

Then I got up and went to the counter where the original boy told me the price of my food. Not asking anything but assuming I was finished.

After he looked at me dumb founded when I said I'm not paying for cold food the girl again came and said I totally understand let me get the manager... who then just looked defeated and said nothing. Why is the girl literally the one who is correcting this situation and not the manager? She deserves a raise! And if a manager can't handle a simple issue they don't deserve the title.

Lesson for this place.... actually train your staff. And stop overwhelming your new staff without aid. Do better.

I would literally give zero stars if I could.

Salvatore's is our go to pizza place in Red Hook. The pizza is fantastic we regularly get comments from guests from out of town about how good the pizza is.

We have been going to Salvatore’s almost weekly for quite some time. Food is great, owner welcomes us with open arms and we feel right at home.

We ordered pizza "rolls" which came with ham, pepperoni, provolone and American cheese(?) .
I requested no American cheese in mine.
Come to find out, I think both of ours had it.
I do not like American cheese. I just don't. And it drastically changes the flavor and texture of a perfectly wonderful pizza roll.
We won't be ordering again.

DO NOT GET PIZZA FROM HERE UNLESS YOU WANT BAD SERVICE!
Tonight my family and I decided to order pizza for delivery. Worst service ever. In the 20+ years I worked in restaurants I have never seen service like this. I called up and the girl that I spoke to said it would be about an hour maybe less their driver was coming in in like 10 minutes. While an hour and 10 minutes went by and I'm like okay where's my pizza. So I called and I spoke to a young lady on the phone who said that the pizza had not even left the building yet. That it was sitting on top of the oven. And that it would be another half hour. To which I said that was totally unacceptable. To please take the tip-off and I will come pick up the pizzas myself. Mind you I live less than a mile from the restaurant. On my way to the restaurant I get a phone call from the delivery driver. Saying I'm here so another word he had left the building and she didn't even look to check and see if the pizzas were actually There at the restaurant. So I quickly turned around to come home. When I got here the delivery driver was not even at my building. The receipt clearly said 15 The delivery driver went to building 18. 2 totally different numbers people. So by the time the delivery driver gave me my pizza's it was now 45 minutes that they were out of the oven he did not keep him in the heat bag. While he was waiting for me to get back. All of this could have been avoided if the girl on the phone actually knew her job. So after I get cold pizzas and wait an extra 45 minutes I end up calling back the restaurant and all I wanted to do was speak to a manager. The manager was too busy to talk to a very angry customer meaning me. And said for me to leave my phone number so they call me back today or tomorrow. To which I told the girl on the phone this is totally unacceptable. So I was delivered pizzas to the wrong building cold pizzas I had to leave my apartment to try to go pick up the pizzas when the girl didn't even know the kid had picked up the pies to bring them to me. Apparently the delivery driver can't read a receipt to bring the pizzas to the right door and this review could have all been avoided had the manager just got on the phone with me. Totally unacceptable. Really bad management. Really bad service. I will not come back to this restaurant and I live less than a mile from the restaurant. If you are visiting in the area please visit other pizza places there is the village pizza there is also four brothers and 2 brothers. Even if they don't have delivery order somewhere else. This is the worst service I have ever had in my life. Do not order from them I wasn't even offered a refund for the aggravation tonight.

I won't hold my breath that the restaurants will actually call me back either. A manager that won't get on the phone with a customer that's upset absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous.
