Avellino’s is more than just a restaurant — it’s a part of my story. It’s the backdrop to some of my most cherished childhood memories: sitting at the corner table with a cheese pizza and a Snapple, watching in awe as the owners spun dough high into the air, shaping it with effortless grace. Birthday parties, small victories, everyday moments — they all seemed to orbit around that warm, familiar space. Today, July 10th, 2025, marked something extraordinary: over 30 years since my family and I last stepped through those doors. I’m 41 now — a far cry from the 15-year-old girl who once called this place her second home. And yet, the moment I returned, it all came flooding back. The same faces, the same warmth. The owners, still so kind, took a moment to walk down memory lane with me — flipping through photos, laughing about the little curly-haired girl who practically grew up there. What they may not realize is that they left a lasting imprint on my life. Their kindness, the comfort of that corner table, the joy of the food — it all shaped me in ways words can barely touch. Avellino’s, thank you. Thank you for being a constant in a world that changes too fast. You’ll always be a part of me, and I’ll never, ever forget you. P.S. — Still the best pizza I’ve ever had

The breading of the chicken parm was very soggy and completely detached off of the chicken, which was weird. The marinara sauce was strangely bitter and acidic and I couldn't finish the pasta.

I recently ordered the Broccoli Rabe Pasta through Uber Eats and was excited to enjoy the meal. However, upon receiving the order, I was disappointed to find that there was no pasta included in the dish. I was really looking forward to this meal and am quite disappointed with the experience.

One of my ‘must go’ places when we are here!
Staff are genuine, great people and the food is fantastic too!

Love the way they treat our family when we visit. Best pizza in town and the service is even better!

Minestrone was great tonight, so was the chicken parm and the lobster ravioli

I didn't rate the service since I wasn't served--just had the pizza recently. It's okay, a 6 out of 10. BUT ... once it was the greatest place around, the pizza absolutely delicious with a thick charred crust and a lot of flavorful cheese and sauce.... I guess there's cost-cutting involved.

I've never been to AVELLINOS but I've ordered from there for delivery many many many times. This food is excellent! It's fresh! So full of flavor. Their portions are more than generous. Food is hot upon arrival. Desserts are to die for!!! The only Italian place I order from.

I really want to like this spot. The owners and staff are great. The pizza definitely needs some improvement.

Avellino’s is not only one of the best slices in New York City but a staple of Queens. My family and I have been coming to Avellino’s for 30 years and they are still the best. Few places still do a top notch brócoli slice and the calzones…if you’re in Queens and you want pizza, this is your spot.

I ordered a grandma slice. The bread was stale and the sauce dried.

I used to live in rego Park 40 years ago. The pizza was good then. Was in the neighborhood last week and the pizza was the worst I had in years. Instead of phony apology feedbacks, learn how to make a decent pie. I'm not asking for Difaras, but come on. Didn't you guys learn anything from the original owners.

I like the bacon pizza a lot.

It used to be my favorite but they charged me extra for switching chicken cutlet to grilled chicken… its just absurd

Finding Your Home Today

It's hard to find a good slice now a days, but Avellino's has never disappointed. Been coming to this family owned pizza shop since the 80's and they've always had solid Italian food, not just the pizza's. Their pizza and food has always hit the spot, great place and one of the better pizzeria's in Queens.

Wanted a supreme pizza. They don’t serve supreme pizza so had to order each individual ingredient came out to 50$ for 1 pie. Pie was mediocre at best.
