Restaurant is nice itself! Staff members had a very good sense of humor and are both friendly and attentive! However food there was average. Meat Samsa and (manti) dumplings were not much with meat. They were full of big slices of fat that was hard even to chew.So I really think you should either call it FAT MANTI or actually add more meat in it.For me meat quality in food is one of the main criteria what makes a good restaurant.Tea was really bad. Like if it wasn’t fresh.

Plov is just okay, but the lamb shashlik, samsa, and hummus are all delicious.

The restaurant is now called Art of grill. And it is glatt kosher. We went there for a lunch. It was better, than I expected. Starting from rice and ending with desserts - all was delicious! We also tried grilled beef and vegetables - cooked perfectly fine! It was a good experience. Need to visit soon again?

This is a Central Asian (Uzbek) restaurant. I have eaten at several Central Asian places in the same neighborhood before, which made for a good reference. We chose this one because they had three tables for outdoor seating. Some of the items we tried to order were not available, but that is due to limited staff and business due to covid, so you can't hold that against them. Just something to expect if come here. We ended up getting two plates of their plov, several samsa, baba ganoush, and some drinks. The plov was a decent portion size and actually was very tasty. The rice had very good seasoning and the vegetables were stewed perfectly. However, the meat was a bit hard and old. Plov is my favorite dish from Central Asian restaurants, and has always been moist and juicy. The samsa also had good flavor to them and were pretty fresh. However, these were the smallest samsa I have had before. All in all, the meal was okay, though I have had better.

Sambusa isn’t tasty and fresh, and achichuk salad wasn’t as achichuk. Guys maybe in the beginning kitchen was good, but now I will never come back! Wasn’t satisfied with food! Sorry

I find myself in NYC every summer. Not on purpose though. I wanted to try something new. I had no food here and was uncertain about buying food during COVID hours. This place is fairly new. I tried one of the popular things from the menu, which was Uzbek Plov. It was decent. I was expecting a more flavorful taste from the meat. I think it was slow cooked lamb. The portion was good. It was not too much. But the reason for most of the stars was the Lamb Chops. I decided to get that for my dad because I know his stomach gets upset over spices. He shared the lamb chops with me and it was so flavorful. Kind of with there was more. The food was more on the okay/pricey side. You can get a decent meal without breaking the bank.

I ordered takeout. Pumpkin manti was the best of the selection, tho' the dough was slightly understeamed, same with the meat and the greens kutabi, the "crepe" was dry and rawish. The Uzbek Plov, tho' nicely seasoned, had two chunks of BEEF instead of lamb, the plentiful rice was undercooked. Perhaps undercooking is traditional in Uzbek cuisine, but I would neither try this restaurant in person nor order from them again.

This place is awesome. The food’s fantastic -homemade borek, dumplings and pilaf. It’s beautifully decorated, squeaky clean and has a comfortable atmosphere. Some nights it is a quiet dinner, others had the atmosphere of a club — complete with a very small dance floor, disco lights & live Kazakh (I assume) singers doing pop songs in whatever language it is they are singing.

Food is delicious and fresh. And what’s important for Forest Hills and Rego Park area, the restaurant is open on Fridays and Saturdays. Also, it’s beautiful inside, design is awesome folk.

My husband and I went to this restaurant and loved it. It was our first time having this style of cuisine. As we were contemplating going inside the owner saw us and said “Come ok in.” My husband asked “Is the food good?”, to which the owner replied “Of course it is! If you don’t like it, the meal is free.” The waitress was incredibly helpful with giving us recommendations. We ended up with some appetizers and our main dish, the Uzbek Plov, which was phenomenal. Although there were a couple of big parties being attended to, the staff made sure that our needs were met at every moment. I definitely recommend this as a delicious and affordable place to bring a date, family, friends and loved ones.
