Good affordable sushi but they need major renovations! This place is very outdated and does not look appealing to eat at. I always order to-go.

I’m surprised the rating for this place is this high. Food quality is lacking and a fast food atmosphere. Not a place for a date. I would not recommend here even with the low prices.

Was one of our go-to places when it was fairly new in the neighborhood - with a small space for dining-in, good lunch bento boxes. Decided to give it a try again for pick-up. Ambiance is not the same though. Could be more appealing to customers.
Got a free roll offered, but ordered by phone (couldn't add it online).
The lunch bento-boxes were still ok - the portions and for the prices.

Still good :) it’s old place. Their sushi is classic and small. But quality and prices are good. They are always friendly, I’ve never had problems with them.

Ordered chicken teriyaki lunch special. It was made fresh as I could hear the meat sizzling in the back and the wait didn't take too long (around 10-15 minutes).
The restaurant environment wasn't too great but I figured this is the kinda spot you order takeout from and, in that case, it's adequate for takeout. The chicken looks moist and well-sauced. The roll looks well-made with no browning on the avocado. Miso soup is comforting to have with chicken teriyaki over rice.
I have no complaints. 8.5/10
Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options like tofu teriyaki
Wheelchair accessibility: On first floor, no steps.

My go to sushi place since moving to Rego Park. Their sushi is what you'd expect from any old sushi place. Nothing amazing but the price is superb. We always get two sushi combo A's which comes with three rolls and a miso soup and the total only comes up to about $25. The restaurant itself is pretty dingy so I wouldn't recommend dining in but definitely recommend taking out.

I really liked it and appreciate the inexpensiveness. Each serving of sushi costs 4.75

If you look at most of my reviews on this platform, you will see I give a lot of five star reviews. Thats not because I love all food, nay. I’m actually an incredibly snobbish and critical hater of mediocre meals. My five stars are not given out willy nilly. Sushi 33 is the type of sushi restaurant that introduced you to sushi in 2005. You had just come back from swimming or baseball practice and your father (who loves you very much) decided it was time for a treat. Harken back to a simpler time, before roundup murdered every insect in the tri state area, precipitating the ecological collapse of 2032. Derek Jeter is still with the Yankees, the accursed Wilpons still own the Mets. Bernie Madoff is an investment genius. All these things will turn to dust, but sushi 33 remains.
Very fresh and affordable! Love ordering from here they never disappoint
