Lived here for the past 3.5 years and loved my experience with the safety and convenience of the building. The staff are all so nice and helpful and make it a warm place to live. I wish they did more building community events and raised the rent in smaller increments but overall highly recommend The Contour!

Lived here from 2013-2016 and was very pleased with my experience, and had no issues with the super/staff/management. The units are very nice and spacious by NY standards, and the rooftop is pretty cool.I also liked the relatively quiet neighborhood, away from the craziness of the city.Have very pleasant memories from my time at the Contour!

A lot of the negative reviews were reviews under the previous super-- he was fired before the holidays last year and the maintenance staff (porter/handyman) were replaced. They are incredibly hard working and responsive to concerns. The building is kept clean, especially now during the pandemic, and front desk staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful. We've really enjoyed our time here. While currently closed due to the pandemic, there's a brand new gym, kid's play room, and a rooftop lounge that you can reserve for parties or events at no extra charge. There's a car garage that you can rent a space at for an extra fee right in the basement. It's a very modern building, and IMO is a good contender to the Alexander a few blocks down without being overly pretentious. Has much larger units also....the square footage of some of these units in hard to find these days in newer buildings.

The Contour is a great building to live in. The building is kept clean, the service is amazing, the amenities are wonderful, the building staff is friendly and outgoing, and the management office is easy to deal with and is very accommodating. It feels like living in a posh hotel. Highly recommended.
The building is nice but every year it gets less and less maintained. You have to harass the super to fix anything, there's pests that are never taken care of, the leasing company is garbage and you have to harass them to even renew your lease! All the good doormen have quit and some of the new ones don't even look at you or hold the door for people holding multiple bags in their hand. Most people I knew on my floor have all moved away. Not sure how long I'm going to stay. I don't even ask much other than basic maintenance every few months but despite nearly $3000 per month I can't even get that.

The Contour is a great building to live in.
