This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area, hands down. Abuelita would approve! Also, expect more than the typical pollo/ asada / chorizo options for tacos. Que sabroso, güey.

As someone who regularly get BIRRIA tacos Everywhere I go I have to say I would never get these ones again. I did not like the meat. It was unseasoned shredded steak, but it was diced up very small that it was odd.

I love this place! Starting with the staff, everyone is kind, friendly and efficient.
Jonathan, Maria and Diana are always friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious 10 out of 10! I’ve ordered a lot of different dishes, chef’s kiss! Their portions are huge and generous, tasty, great presentation and great prices. I am Mexican and I can assure you their cooking is AUTHENTIC ✨🙌 I absolutely recommend Al Punto Picante

This place is so good. The tacos, the tortas, my god..the english language fails to capture the pure flavor that explodes throughout your nervous system. It is ambrosia. The nectar of the gods. You need to eat here.

Was driving from NYC to Lake George and was lucky enough to pull off the highway and find this amazing spot for dinner. Had the beef nachos and vegetarian sopes. Authentic and delicious. Super friendly service and cheerful decor.
Just good authentic Mexican food.the place is clean ,menus are easy to read, and the server Jordan is very helping in explaining the menu.
Great experience! The food was incredible, service was attentive and welcoming, can’t wait to go back and try more menu items!

Excellent authentic Mexican food! We tried the tamales and burritos. All was very fresh, not loaded in oil or cheese, the salsas were excellent and homemade. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Mexican. Just know, it’s going to be a bit on the spicy side.

I stopped at this restaurant during a roadtrip home from upstate. I ordered the Al Pastor Burrito and my husband ordered the Mexican Torta, and I can honestly say it was some of the best Mexican food we have had in a long time (and we eat a lot of Mexican food). There were fresh vegetables in both meals and the flavors/spices were on point. The guacamole was also delicious with fresh ripe tomatoes, not watery bland tomatoes we are used to in typical restaurant guacamole. If we ever find ourselves back in Rensselaer, we will stop in again. Also, extremely reasonably priced.
